I can't seem to get back on the wagon! It's been over 3 weeks since I've been to the gym. I've been trying to watch what I eat, but I'm naughty on the weekends! Especially this last weekend, yesterday was my fiancé's 21st b-day, so of course I had cake and a large meal at a sit-down restaurant with him.

I just bought "The Biggest Loser's Biggest Secrets to Success" or something like that from half.com. I saw the book here at a local bookstore and it looks like it can really help me get motivated again.

I also will probably start taking my Phen-d once my free bottle gets here. I was supposed to get a free bottle from Lazarus Labs about a month ago and I haven't gotten anything? Has anyone else had this problem?

Oh honey dont feel bad. On the weekends I fall off a lot too. Its mostly because I am so busy during the week and on the weekends I dont do anything. You will get this, all you can do is try harder. Good luck

Staying motivated is one of the hardest things about weight loss (I think). I'm trying to look at it this way....I'm learning how to eat healthy and this is something that I am going to do for the rest of my life. I had to get rid of the thoughts that as soon as I reached my goal weight I could go back to eating all the unhealthy foods I used to love. It is a life change. Once I adopted that mindset, life became so much easier.

That being said...I absolutely plan on eating restaurant desserts again (bad ones!). But, I am learning how I will be able to sprinkle those into a maintenance plan after my weight loss goal is achieved and still remain healthy and at goal weight.

As for not working out....that motivation is even harder for me to keep up. I would suggest setting a day/time when you are going to return to the gym for the next few days. MAKE yourself go at that time. It sucks and it's hard but if you can somehow get yourself back there for a couple days, the routine seems to get back on track. I just set a time and then NO EXCUSES...make myself go. Seems like once I get that initial return visit out of the way it's all back on track.

Just my thoughts. Good luck! I hope you achieve all your goals.

It would be so much easier for me to go to the gym if I worked a 2nd shift job, so I could go earlier in the day when everyone else is at work. I've always wanted to try the "endless pool" they have at my gym but they have windows in the room, and I'm too embarrassed to be seen in a swim suit in front of the other ladies at my gym (lucky it's an all-ladies gym).

It's not so much being able to stay movitavated to eat right for me, but more like me being unable to resist temptation. Temptation is a bitch! I drive by Taco Bell, or see a Quizno's commercial, and whaddya know?! *BAM* I'm in the Taco Bell drive thru even when I'm not hungry. It sucks.

I hope by now you are feeling a bit better!

We all have dry days where the only thing holding us on is the CONTRACT, whether at work, at home, at the gym, or wherever~ We can just expect those because they always come.

Make a written contract of your goals and if nothing else right now, read it aloud every morning. It can REALLY HELP!

Tempation is hard. I have a hard time with desserts. I can eat out in a restaurant and do awesome....until the meal is over. Then I REALLY have to resist wanting something sweet. It's my downfall. I usually try to carry a strawberry Special K bar with me so I can have something sweet if I need a 'fix.' I don't usually need a lot, just a bite of something, especially after spicy foods!!

Try to carry a healthy munchie with you. I think a lot of it is a hand-to-mouth satisfaction. Maybe you can fool yourself into thinking that the popcorn you're munching is a taco! (if you figure out how to do that, let me know!!)

Take it one day at a time and you will succeed.
