Quit trying to hard. Some of YOU people will never go through ANYTHING as hard as some of US. Your overly bubblegum attitude that I'm sure is quite the lie is overwhelming to the rest of US REAL people.

Your the moderator of a forum. There is no need for you to try to give everyone e-hugs. You just p i s s some of US off.

And as for the advice for the OP to NOT take the phen. You don't know, your not a DR (I'm assuming) it is illegal for you to give medical advice. You need to figure out a different way to have a power trip... that way is going to get you in trouble.
Quite frankly, I recognize that I'm different and that to remain sober, I need to stick together with others who have had the same experiences as me - just like when it comes to weight loss, I need to stick together with others who are doing/have done the same. But I'm very sure that Utah and I have extremely different outlooks on life.

I went through a lot of bad stuff (and nobody forced drugs in me or poured booze into my mouth), but today I have a pretty bubble-gum attitude too! I think that everyone goes through very difficult things - some people just stay in such self pity that they don't recognize other people's pain.

I didn't take offense - quite the opposite. Susan, I hope you know that not all recovering addicts share the same hostile attitude and superiority-complex that others have...I love when "normies" get to see that we people who have caused so much wreckage in other people's lives can change and share our experience with others to help them.

BTW, I'm an attorney and I didn't see any sort of medical advice given in Susan's post, just support - oh, and her personal opinion and advice, which was what Rowan asked for.

Good for you.

I guess I should thank you, the attorney for making sure my rights of free speech are still going strong!!

You should pat yourself on the back also.

Wow, you would think that someone feeling the need to "defend" themselves would want portray themselves as a more positive manner.
Susan, keep up the good work. Support is what we all need.

I've known susan for quite a few months now. she is a very loving christian lady that does not deserve such hurtful words. Susan only offers support and her advice. She volunteers her services here and has been very faithful to this site because she cares about everyone . This is just susan naturally and one of the best qualities you can find in a person. Please get to know some of these members before using such harsh words against them.

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words. I actually am doing a lot better now on my 3rd week of Phen. I skipped a couple of days and didn't miss it. Especially the cottonmouth. I actually don't like the way it makes me feel now, (kind of short-fused) but it does curb the appetite. I'm finding as time goes on, the "speedy" effects of the med is wearing down as my body is getting used to it, and I'm only taking the dosage I am supposed to.

I guess in those first few days I was just really surprised and overwhelmed by the similarities of this drug to meth. I had to take some time & put it all in perspective, do some serious reflecting, take control of the situation, and have a clear focus on the goal - losing weight. I also know I've given myself 3 months on this, then it's time to continue the weight loss on my own with no little helper.

I've lost ten pounds in the past couple of weeks. Only 50 more to go.

Thanks, everyone.
