I don't understand why people say it's not an amphetamine. I realize it's in the same class, but why do they say it is not an amphetamine when the chemical is:

2-methyl-1-phenylpropan-2-amine and 2-methyl-amphetamine

Is says amphetamine right there....

I am sure this answer is not medically correct, but I'll take a stab at it--my guess would be that there must be a distinction among all the types of different chemical compounds that act as amphetamines because of and according to their uses. Some treat appetite, some depression, some attention deficit disorder, some central nervous system problems...the list is endless.

Every BC powder is not the same as a Bayer aspirin. It is the same formula but it dissolves differently and treats things a little differently...but they are the same basic powder. Does that make any sense to anyone but me?
