went to my diet doctor last Friday and all went okay. I decided to brave it and got the B-12 shot. Nothing but B-12. So I notice the next day, I have a big round bruise on my arm where I got the shot. Is this normal? My daughter gets her in her hip/butt and said she does't bruise.

Next question, I went to my Primary care today for my annual female exam (yeah....fun) and she decided I need to use some progesterone cream for some various symptoms I am having. I did not say anything to her about my Phen because she is pretty much a "go natural if you can" and would not be too happy. So has anyone used this cream while on phen? I know I can call me diet doctor and ask tomorrow, I was hoping for some actual "experienced" answers too.

The good news is I have not gained any and my TOM is here. I'm sure the losing will slow down a bit or completely till afterwards. I'm going to try to take a water pill every other day to keep my swelling down.

Thanks for any info.

I've read ppl bruise easier when on phen. Can you be more specific if you don't mind and if it's not to personal what kind of symptoms were you having ? There might be ppl experiencing the same symptoms but are not using progesterone cream.

If you mention some symptoms you may get more answers.

Good for you and maybe you will even be a lb or two lighter after tom.

Well, I was having most of my symptoms before phen......low sex drive is one (I actually improved some the first week of phen and then went back to my normal "low" drive. I think it was the increased energy). Also I had one "extra" TOM in between my normal ones.

One thing I always have but seemed worse this TOM was my mood swings. I cried and cried and was angry inside, and just kept crying over something that wasn't silly, but wasn't THAT big. It was something my husband said and I just wanted to get in the car and drive off for the entire day. Instead, I got a bad headache from crying so much and went to sleep for four hours. I was still mad when I woke up. But I didn't cry at least.

I did not realize you were on phendimetrazine I'm assuming there are similiarities so I'll just leave my post as is. My answers were concerning phentermine. I have not done much research on phendimetrazine.

O.k. let's see phen usually will increase your sex either short term or for a while. It may come and go with you, I think it is different for everyone since we all react differently to any medicine. After 4 kids, I could careless about sex, myself personally. but I'm sure it's nice to get it back sometimes.

Btw,Phen will also mess with your tom some ladies have had tom for a month at a time. 9 Reason's another member had some tom issue's.

Moodswing's are number one and most ppl will get them and sometimes very severly it is referred to as phen rage. I think the longer your on this medicine the more moody you become with time. I mean like getting very angry at who ate the last egg type of thing something very minor. I think you just have to realize why your getting angry and learn to try and control it and not let it take you over type of thing because phen will contribute to your reactions over little things.jmo
I had two friends that were taking this and they shared their experience with me and I've learned alot from research and on this site.

Iam one to stand by the no more then 3 months use of it. It's suppose to be used as a tool to learn better healthier eating habits everyone can't stay on it forever but I'm sure some would love to.

Depression is another and hot flashes so some of these effects could be mistaken for perio-menopause. The list could go on and on there really are quite of few side effects some that go away and some that could be long term if you stay on this medication longer then the recommended time.

I read some ppl being on it a year. I've read some ppl have had hairloss but I think that's for the one's who stayed on it longer then the 2 to 3 months recommended usage.

Don't know if I helped or not but I tried. Oh can't forget about the insombia. Do you have that ?

Thank you for your reply. I think both meds are very similar in what they do and in the side effects. Although I do not recall anyone on phendemetrazine saying they are losing their hair. But I don't think percentage wise there are that many on it compared to Phen.

I do plan to be on this till October at the longest. If I have not lost what I want, I will go off the meds a while and then maybe try again with the meds in January if my weight loss has slowed down or stopped.

The one thing I had when I was on phen was a HIGH heart rate of like 125. There was NO exercising with that rate already. I have a farm and my grandson (and daughter) live with me right now.....so I get some exercise. Plus I clean houses one to two days a week. THAT is a big workout. I use my grandson as my "weights" and lift him up and back down. Great for my arms. My daughter is on phen (she didn't have migraines on it like I did. She started at 140 and is down to 127. Wants to get to 110-115 (she is only 5'2"). She is loving how this is helping her, but she is only 23....so at that age, the weight usually comes off a little faster.

I'd love to hear what your doctor said. Remember, too, that medicine is absorbed through the skin, too. I'll never forget a child in one of my classes becoming very ill...his mom had slathered him up with Aspercreme (aspirin (sp?)) in a cream and his tender skin absorbed it as an overdose. That’s one of the main reasons not to apply things like antifungal or cortisone creams too often....

My bet is that the shot hit a blood vessel. Did your doctor think that? Did they change your dose any? How are you feeling now? BETTER, I DO HOPE?

About the bruise I got....they probably hit a small blood vessel and that there was no concern for it happening. So next time I will get it in the hip area as that is also an option.

Thanks for the help and information!
