Hi everyone. I recently just started tracking my daily calories and I love it! However, I am confused about one thing. I have read that eating less than 1000 calories a day will put your body into starvation mode and make it harder to lose weight. I am eating over 1000 calories a day, BUT not "Net" calories after exercise! I have a lot of energy from the Phen and am staying pretty busy doing yard work, cleaning my house, walking on my treadmill, and doing other calorie burning activities. I can not really cut those things out of my day... Just wondering if this is going to really slow my weight loss??? Or maybe I am just understanding the whole starvation mode wrong? Maybe as long as I get over 1000 calories in my mouth a day it's all good??? Anyone else experienced this? Someone with more knowledge and experience please help with any suggestions/advice you may have. Thanks so much!

Hi! No need to do all that work subtracting and adding calories. The MDR is established as a gross intake amount.

Do not eat less than 1,000 calories a day.

Thanks Susan...nice to know that I just have to at least get in 1,000 calories. BTW, I have another quick question for you...as your weight goes down, your daily calorie goal lowers...Could you explain the details of why this is, and how it is calculated? Thanks...you have been so helpful in my journey so far.
