Just wondering what the snag is. Tomorrow makes day 7 and I have lost 4lbs, but I am not feeling like I was the first 2 -3 days I started taking this. Why could this be? Any ideas? Anything I can do to "help" things along?

I notice this also. It should still be working for you, though. Are you still noticing the decreased appetite? Dry mouth? What effects are you feeling and/or not feeling that is making you concerned?

I do still notice my appetite is decreased. I get really hungry about 2 in the afternoon taking my medicine about 9 in the morning. I'm just not feeling as energetic as I was the first couple days. Any suggestions?

Some people don't experience the burst of energy, and some do. I am kind of like you, I get the burst of energy when I first start taking it, but after a week, I don't notice it at all.

Maybe you could talk to your dr about changing the mg of your dose...the reason I say this is because with phen more is not neccessarily better. I started with the 30 mg, when I went back for my checkup he put me on 37.5 mg. It did not work nearly as well as the 30 mg did even though you would think that it would be better. I requested to go back to the 30 and he let me and I know the next time I go back on after my 30 days is up I will make sure I get the 30 mg again.

Don't be afraid to talk to your dr or even the pharmacist about this, they may know a way to make it work better for you.

Most of my energy now comes from the habit of exercising and healthier eating. Eating a good diet full of fruits and veggies goes a long way in this area.

If you are taking the 37.5 mg caplet, you might try taking 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at lunch to help with the later hungers. Several people say this really helps.

Good luck! I wish I could help you more!

Well, I may try the 1/2 and see how that does. I am exercising, just starting out I did a day and then 2 days later I did more, but now I am at it every other day and I am drinking water out the wazoo and my snacks are fruits and veggies!! Maybe I just need to give it some time and see how goes. How long have you been on it P? I noticed you said after you were off for 30 days....
Thanks!

I started taking the phen in April. My dr has me on for 42 days and off for 30. Right now, I am on my second 30 day hiatus. It stinks, to be honest. But I know that when I go back on, the meds will work really well, and I will start losing again. Right now, I'm not losing, but not gaining except maybe 1 lb +/- a little, so that is good enough for now. Makes me feel more confident that at the end when I reach my goal, I might be able to maintain better than people around me think I will.

If you are exercising and eating right, you are winning the battle in my opinion. These are habits that will benefit you for a long time and in more ways than just your weight loss. I had been slacking on the exercise for a little bit, but getting back into it again now that the kids are back to school and I can focus on it better.

Good luck! Let us know how you are doing. Have you started a journal here? If not, you should because that is a great way for everyone to see how you are doing, and for you to keep track of your progress also.

Have a great day!
