i woke up with a horrible leg cramp this morning omg! those charlie horse ones. i have been eating bananas so i dont understand why my potassium would be so low to trigger this. unless its because i carried out the excersize bike and carried in the treadmill by myself. its day 3 and no more weight has come off. im wondering if should be worried. i have been super good with eating. i have eaten nothing bad at all.

Sorry about that leg cramp...those are hard to deal with.

Sometimes we reach plateaus in our loss. The best way to get over it is the zig zag approach. This is were you alter your calorie intake every day....like say today you have 1500 calories, tomarrow you have 1000, and the next day you have 1900. Keep altering it every day.

You can also do this with your exercise. If you are doing the same thing and the same time every day, you can switch it up a little by changing what you are doing and at what time. You eventually will start losing again, and I think pretty much everyone gets to a plateau at some point. How soon you move on is something I can't answer, though!

Good luck!!

If you aren't getting enough calories it could cause some headaches and shakiness and such.

I wish singing were an exercise, if it were, I would be a size 2!! lol!! Good thing pigs and cows are tone deaf....or at least can't complain!

I completely agree with Patty.

They used to sell Quinine in a pill, which lots of folks took at night because most leg cramps are at night, and they can be almost unbearable.

Now, many follow an old wives' tale that really works, though I can't remember if it stops the cramp or prevents it. It is to take a tsp. of vinegar before bed.

Better hold your nose, which also causes you not to taste it til it's already down~

My mother in law puts a bar of soap in the bed to prevent leg cramps Not really sure what exactly that is supposed to do, but she swears by it! Any time she is doing a lot more walking than usual she does it. I laugh every time she talks about doing that, but she says it works because she doesn't get the cramps anymore! (I think that she wouldn't get them anyway, but I'm not telling HER that! )

I don't know, if you are going to try out old wives tales, this one is as good as any, I guess! And not as stinky!!
