Hi,
A little background...I have been on phen off/on probably three different times. In the past, it always worked great for me. It did just what it was supposed to...I had litte to no interest in food all day and had to pretty much force myself to eat. I always lost weight quickly.
Fast forward to the present. I fell off the wagon, so to speak, and gained about 25 lbs above what I would consider my ideal weight to be. 175 lbs may not sound so bad but I have size 34 pants that are very tight on me and that bothers me. Ideally, I would like to be a size 30 again.
I went to a doctor last Tuesday and was prescribed Phen again. I decided to fill the Rx at a pharmacy closer to home rather than the one I where I have gotten Phen in the past. The affect of the drug has been a fraction of what it was in the past and the affect seems to have even decreased as the week has progressed. I used to basically feel "high" all morning before...I don't now. I used to feel thirsty all day before...I don't now. I used to have to go to the bathroom every hour before...I don't know. My heart used to race before...doesn't now. I used to pit out my shirts before...don't now. (Not that I miss that side effect!) The pills do curb my appetite in the morning and early in the afternoon to an extent, but it seems to have no effect by late afternoon and into the evening. The pills basically look the same as always (white oblong with blue speckles) but the blue speckles look a little different to me. I'm thinking this new pharmacy has a different brand or something and it's not as effective. I have the 37.5 mg dosage like I always did. Has anyone ever run into this problem before? I'm thinking about calling my doctor and requesting that she write me a new script to take to my usual Pharmacy where I got Phen in the past. I've never worked with her before and I'm just conernced she'll think I'm a junky and just want more pills. What do you think?
