Ok so the first 2 days:

Day 1: ate like normal, was hungry like normal
pills made me kinda jittery like speed LOL

Day 2: It is now 4 pm and havent eaten all day, Drank alot of water though, Mouth is really dry, but could be do to the lack of soda..

I can tell that my stomach is empty, and growling, but really dont feel like eating. jitters have worn off

We will see , I will post again in a day or 2 or if anything changes

A little advice to anyone who is NOT EATING!!

Its VERY BAD not to eat. I know that phen makes you not interested in food, but you MUST eat!! Breakfast is one of the important meals to try and not skip. When you dont feed your body, it thinks you are starving it. Because your body needs fat to survive, it will beging burning off MUSCLE first. You may think you are losing fat when in fact you are burning muscle (which weighs more than fat).

And also remember, the food you consume is providing your brain with nutrients. You body will start to shut down if you arent feeding it.

I have to remind myself of this as well. Today is my second day on phen and it's been quite the struggle to make myself eat. On the good side of that, im not thinking about or craving food all day like I was before phen, and no more late night binge eating. (YAY!!!) I know the foods I have chosen so far may not be the most healthy, but I know that im feeding my body with enough fat and calories.

Phen is a GREAT tool, but to anyone who reads this....you must eat!!! A good idea is to keep a food diary. Write down everything you eat so you can track and make sure you are eating enough (or not too much for that matter). I know sometimes the day can get away from you and you forget to eat....but try not too!!!

Good luck!!!

Hello!! I was taking Phentermine and have lost 19 lbs so far, but the side effects were getting me down - I wasn't able to sleep etc. So I'm really interested in whether or not Phentramin helps you guys to loose weight. Please keep posting your thoughts and successes, because I may just get some of that instead - that's if it really DOES work!!

Killer, Skinny and Gems, ya'll all have the cutest names! It's funny how we learn people by their alais or whatever name they give and when they tell their real first name, it doesn't quite fit!! Anyway, I am really Susan so I guess mine would fit.
I have been gone for a couple days and missed answering your posts but I am BACK now!!
Amanada has some great advice. You have to eat. You must use this time wisely. Read journals..read the articles offered here....learn as much as you can. One day you will be mantaining and will need to know how!

Ok has been like 5 days now, the phentramin seems to work sometimes, most of the time not..

I have to force myself not to eat, i take 1 pill about 7 am and the next about 1 pm, and by 6 or 7 i am really hungry, i try to not over eat at lunch, and dinner, but i really just feel a little less hungry but, not like other people have described as in having to force themselves to eat..

Do pills work differenty for different people? Sure..

Would i recommend phentramin to someone else? probably not

I'm sorry to hear that...I just received mine yesterday and was excited.. I'm still excited. I'm sorry it's not working for you.And yes I think it could work differently for everyone taking it. Hang in there, maybe it'll kick in more..I hope so anyways. I'll start mine friday I'll let you know if I experience the same thing.

killerkatana75.....Kind of a strange question, but have you used any type of amphetamine regulary recently? The reason I ask is because since phentermine is so closely related to amphetamines, if you have used them recently, or even maybe in the past, you may have built up a tolerence and that's why it isnt working.

OR....they could be bad pills.

Also, I DO get hungry as well, my stomach growls...etc. I just dont have as much of an urge to binge as I used to. I still eat when im hungry, it just seems that i stop eating way before I over eat. Also, if you partake in ANYTHING that would normaly make more more hungry...i.e. drinking, smoking thing that may make you have the munchies....it's likely they will have the same effect even if you are taking the meds. (im not saying you do any of these, just making general suggestions as to reasons I think the phen wouldnt be working as well)

Basically, there are TONS of factors that could be playing into why you are hungry or why the phen isnt taking away your hunger. I know for me, it has just seemed to give me more will power to eat less (and I dont think about food as much) vs. just making me not want to eat at all.

For instance, last night I was STARVING around 8 (when we were ready to have dinner) we ordered pizza, but instead of eating two or more slices and 2 or more breadsticks, I just had one slice and one bread stick!

Hang in there. Hopefully it will at least help you make better choices and not eat as much!! And everyone should remember, the more you exercise, the more you can eat!! If you are eating the amount of calories it takes to sustain you and still lose weight, then if you add in exercise, you will obviously be burning more calories, meaning you can replace those with food if you choose!!

GOOD LUCK!!!
