I am on my 3rd day of Phentramin. I drank 8 ounces of water with mine, one at 6 am and another at 11 am. Though I have not ever 'forgotten' to eat--never--not once-this one may be helping. It is hard to judge. It could be curbing my appetite some; I plan to make that call after I have been on it a full week, especially at Monday's BBQ!

THAT will be the test! It reminds me of Hoodia, but then again, I only tried that 5 days with poor results. Here's a thumbs-up, hoping!

Have you previously taken Phentremine? Does the phentramin compare to it at all?

I took phentermine for a short term last year. Phentramin is more like Hoodia to me. I am determined, though, to keep on it for a full week so I can be a better judge. I will report my feelings then!

I have never tried the Phetramin... but I love the Phetramine. Doc gave me a prescription for 14 days this time & it cost me $14. I am willing to pay that $1 per day to loose this weight. I much rather pay that then the $45-$80 for a bottle of pills from GNC that I have to take 2 pills 3 x a day. This I take 1 in the morning along with my water pill and then forget it until the next day. I also stopped the vit b-12 injections because they stopped giving me them every week & only gave 1 per month. I now take the b-12 under my tongue every day. 500-1000 mg. It desolved under my tongue in about a minute. Depending on my stress level and energy level is how I determine the amount I take. I did ask the pharmasist about the amount. He said that my body with get rid of any extra it doesn't use through my urine. He suggested I start out on just 1 pill a day (500mg) and if I didn't get results I could go up to 1000 mg a day. He said that I should self adjust the dosage, but anything more than 1000 mg and my body would get rid of the extra, so not to waste it.

I was on Phentermine for a about 4 months and lost 50lbs... then I had gained back 10 after being off it for a few months so I figured I would try phentramin.. I have been on it about a month, It hasn't helped me at all. If anything I feel like I am bloated all the time. I am still gaining weight while I am eating less.. Has anyone else had this problem with it?

Okay, haven't updated because some nasty old migraines kept me from light! Blech. But thankfully, I got the right medicine and feel MUCH better. Here's what grade I give each:

Phentermine... A+(worked better every day for 16 wks for me)
Hoodia..............D (did not work at all for 30 days)
Phentramin......B-( worked great after 4 days-took for 7 days)
Phentramine..never tried
