Has anyone looked at the differences between Green Tea Diet pills and Phentramin? NOT A BIG DIFFERENCE!! Phentramin had only 17 more mg of caffeine in it than the GTD. I didn't know if anyone had tried these before. They are much cheaper than Phentramin so that made me veeeeerrrry interested

Which green tea diet pills are you looking at? I've never seen a green tea diet pill that had all the same ingredients that Phentramin had... just green tea (caffeine essentially with some antioxidants), etc... whereas Phentramin contains hoodia.

Can you show us more?

I don't know about Phentramin but my husband ,who doesn't really diet or need to, does "watch" his weight and he recently began drinking green tea just for health benefits . He said that by not changing anything else he had lost weight and he feels sure it was the green tea. Neither of us even knew that was possible so I don't think it was a placebo effect.

I think I'll go make myself a cup!!

You gals might want to read this. Phentramin is a great appetite suppressant, but Green Tea also has it's own host of health benefits. It's more of a long term supplement, but it can help you lose weight by speeding up your metabolism a bit.

Wow Ian, I had no idea green tea was so good for me... I'm putting it on my list now. There's a health food store here that has a huge selection!!!

Yes I know, I know. I hear it from my mother constantly but I can't stand the taste of green tea. Never did. One of the reasons I don't drink coffee or tea is because the amount of sugar I put into it. You know that saying would you like some coffee with your sugar!! Well that's me and that's why I don't drink either stuff. Coffee on the weekends once in a while but not like I use to. I wish I could drink green tea but I can't. I find the taste disgusting.

Ian-You are correct when you say The Green Tea Diet Pill doesn't contain Hoodia. But, between the GTD pill and Phentramin there wasn't a huge difference. So that is why I was wondering if anyone had combined the 2 pills or if someone had taken the GTD pill alone. I am wondering this because the Phentramin is WONDERFUL!!! But, Expensive too!!

I agree that there aren't that many differences between the two, but I'm saying it's hard to compare them like they do the same thing, because the green tea pills are a mild fat burner, whereas the Phentramin is also a mild fat burner, but the hoodia suppresses appetite as well.

I think green tea is great as part of a diet though!
