I just wanted to know if Phentramin D is similar to Phentermine. I have taken both Phentermine and Phentramin and like the perscription version better. I would like to try the phentramin D but don't want to waste the money if it doesn't work. So are there any people out there that have tried the perscription and phentramin d that can offer any comparisons? Thanks

Hi, Girl! Phentermine acts in the brain and increases Seratonin levels, as does Phentramin-D, but to a higher degree.
Phentramin, on the other hand, is an herbal product that mainly works in the bloodstream.

Hhhhhhhh---m-m-mmmm...I would really like others to weigh in and answer this one: On one hand:
1. Phentermine prescription drug is probably the safest because not only is it FDA approved but you must get it through your physician and thus will be 'monitored' regularly. If you take any other medicines that involve Seratonin levels, both he and your pharmacist can run drug-drug interaction checks and advise you depending on your reactions to the normal conditions that are affected with substances that are chemically similar to an amphetamine: Blood pressure, restful sleep, feeling nervous, depression, chest discomfort, etc.

or

2. Phentramin-D is probably the safest because it is a supplemement and the stimulants and fat-burning attributes of it are less acute. It does not contain amphetamines and since it is felt in the bloodstream and the resulting brain chemical exchanges, both, it may be beneficial to try.

THERE! I hope I'VE MADE MYSELF PERFECTLY CLEAR!!

I posted a couple threads up, but I love the results that I am getting from Phen-D so far. My energy is up; I've lost a few pounds; and I am not as hungry as normal. I have even had the motivation to hit the gym again I tried prescription Phentermine and found it way to strong. I had to scale back on my pills to every two to three days after the first week because they made me feel so bad. We will see if these have the same effect, but I feel more even right now than I have with any other diet pills that I have taken.

Does Phentermin-D have something in it that will hurt my heart? I am concerned about this since other over-the-counter drugs were banned because of people having heart attacks.

Hmmm, I too am curious to see tohers replies. I personally am on the prescription version, 15mg, and it works great (so far) but it does cost 30$ for a months supply....cheaper than I have seen others posting at. However, should it ever stop working for me, I want to know how well phentramin-D works, I may need it...

It hasn't worked for me, but drugs affect everyone differently, so who knows what it might do for you! You could give it a try, if you have the extra $67 laying around ...

I'm still taking it consistently. Sweet, were you taking two a day or just one? I do notice that like Phentermine, caffeine seems to deminish the effects. The weight is coming off slow, but still coming off.
