I understand the frustration....been there most of my life! Phentermine is supposed to be an appetite suppressant, metabolism booster, and energy booster. While on phentermine, it is advisable that you moderate your caloric intake, ideally between 1200 to 1500 calories per day. It is also best for you to exercise for at least 20 minutes 3-5 days per week. Drinking 80 to 100 oz of water per day will also increase the loss.
If you feel that your medication is not working to suppress your appetite at all, please check with your dr for the possibility of changing the dose. Sometimes a person will do better on a different mg. There are 15, 30 and 37.5 mg available, and no, just because you think you are getting the highest doseage does not mean that it will work the best. I personally do not do well at all on the 37.5 and requested to go back on the 30 mg. Some people do wonderfully with the 15 mg dose and lose just as much as those on a higher dose.
Phentermine is actually very similar to amphetamines, and must be prescribed by a dr only, it can not be purchased without an actual written prescription.
I hope this helps you. Good luck in your loss!
