Just thought I'd share my new recipe. We absolutely loved it!!! Really hit the spot!

Low-Calorie Easy Thin Crust Pizza-

2 servings total, two people, 1/2 the pizza!! (4 slices)

½ teaspoon – Active Dry Yeast – 6 calories, 1gm protein
½ teaspoon – Sugar – 8 calories
Ό cup –hot water - >100 degrees, plus 1 tablespoon if mixture is too dry and crumbly

Pam Olive Oil cooking spray – 0 calories

Ύ cup – Bread flour – 330 calories, 12gm protein
½ - teaspoon salt – 0 calories

Ό cup sauce – I used Classico Four cheese – 45 calories, 1.5gm protein
3/8 cup – Kraft Italian blend shredded cheese – 135 calories, 10.5gm protein
Basil – 2 calories
Garlic powder – 3 calories
Red pepper flakes (optional) – 1 calorie

Approx. time to prepare - 1 hour 15 minutes. Cooking time - 10 minutes

Mix together yeast, sugar, and water in small bowl and let sit for five minutes. Combine flour and salt in separate bowl. Combine yeast mixture with flour and salt. Add water if mixture is too dry and a little more flour if it is too sticky. Mix together until you get a smooth ball of dough. Grease a bowl with Pam Olive oil spray. Put dough ball into greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let sit for one hour.

Preheat oven and pizza stone (optional) to 375 degrees. After dough has risen and becomes much more pliable, transfer dough ball onto lightly floured surface. DO NOT KNEAD DOUGH. Right away, take a rolling pin and roll dough out as thin as you like. Flip dough over to make sure it’s not sticking and very lightly flour surface or underside of pizza. Spread the Ό cup of sauce onto crust and sprinkle basil and garlic powder. Then sprinkle 3/8 cup of cheese onto crust and for a little heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes on top of cheese. Transfer to a very lightly floured pizza stone or fit into greased (with Pam Olive Oil spray) pizza pan, CAREFUL not to spill any cheese on the stone or pan underneath the crust because it will stick. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until outer edges of crust have a snap and cheese is melted. Dough should bubble a bit in the middle. Enjoy, it is delicious!!

Total Calories – 530 calories, 25gm protein

Serving size – ½ of the whole pizza!!! Perfect to share with a friend!
- ½ pizza (4 slices) – 265 calories, 12.5gm protein
