Ohhhhhhh... there is the "cabbage soup diet". I tried it years ago... it's very simple soup made with no protein at all, and if I remember right, you eat almost nothing BUT that for several days. Basically you're starving yourself... the one thing that I DO remember is that I started it on a Monday and on Friday, day 5, my son and I were standing in the video store and I had to grab a rack to keep from falling down, when I almost passed out. We went straight from there to Taco Bell because I was afraid to drive all the way home without eating anything!
This is really good, hearty soup... it's very non-fattening, but very good for you too with all the veggies AND the meat. I'm not eating it exclusively, but it makes great lunches for work, and the recipe makes enough that you can eat it for a couple of days and still have some to freeze for several more meals, if you want.
