Hey there lovelys!
I'm going on a 5 day fast starting today. I only allow myself to drink diet coke, water, chai tea, green tea, and chew one stick of gum a day. I will allow myself 2 cups of soy milk a day. I wouldnt normally have the soy milk on a fast but mom makes me drink it now as a substitutes for real milk becuz im a Vegan.
So today I have to be at work for 1:00 and I'm off at 9:00. I work at Shoppers Drug Mart, and its a pretty cool place to work actually. Oh, I havent really told you much about myself have I? Well, I'm fifteen years old, I live in Prince Edward Island, Canada. I live in a pretty wealthy family out in the good ol' country and I'm in grade 11...well, going into grade 11. After school, I'm headin to the James Cook University in Australia to study Zoology and Marine Biology. My current interests are hockey, ringette, reading, baking, shopping, and hanging out with friends. My favorite color is red, and I listen to rock, country, hip hop, heavy metal, reggae, and pretty much anything I can dance too!

:shock:Please stop, starving yourself is not a way to control things. At your age you should be eating fruit/veg,meat/fish/chicken.If you are scared of putting on weight grill the meat, steam the vegetables.Start talking to your mother about what bothers you and stop starving PLEASE!!! :???:

Yes I agree completely. Please stop starving yourself! :( Every time you
do that, it makes it even harder to lose weight because your body goes
into starvation mode, where your metabolism sinks WAY down as far
as possible. When it's that low, it's much harder for you to burn calories,
so your body just stores them as fat so that you can survive.

Please start eating at least 3 main meals per day along with 2 or 3 healthy
snacks of whole grains, nuts, vegetables, etc.

You don't need to starve yourself. Just hang out with us here and you'll
find many alternatives that will make you feel great and stay healthy
for life.

I hate to be mean, but do you really take this person serious? Is it possible they are just looking for attention? I don't think people that normally behave in this manner (starving themselves) usually walk around announcing it to the world.

Celery,
If you are indeed doing the things you say...you need to tell your parents and they can get you some help. There is nothing that people on a message board are going to be able to say to help you.

That is all I have to say on the subject.

I have to agree. Going on a starvation "diet" (if you can even call it a diet or lack of one) will do nothing but decrease your physiological functions. You might burn some fat for a day or two but soon your body will eat muscle to fuel itself. Once you start burning muscle, you've already imbalanced your hormones and your bodies ability to burn fats and carbs.

The point is, once you start burning muscle as a fuel source, you're in serious trouble.

P.S., being anorexic is by no means attractive, so why would it be worth it to risk it? I'm sure that you're beautiful the way you are. Ask guys whether they prefer fit and healthy to anorexic and 9 out of 10 of them (if not more) will say fit and healthy...I'm not sure whether this is a prank post or not, but celerystick you need to reevaluate your body image. Don't ruin your life by giving into an obsession to be unhealthily thin. Look at some suggested height-weight charts. That will show you what you should weigh. If you are under what they suggest, then you are not healthy.

P.S. celerystick--for someone who seems to be into healthy foods, you should know that diet coke is bad for you.
