There's a book that I got that has the nutritional information for restaurants and fast food places so if you have to eat there you can choose something better for you. You can get it off the website CALORIEKING.COM. It's been really helpful when we were moving a couple of weeks ago and all the cooking stuff was packed in a box. That whole week I ate fast food and I still lost 2 pounds. My grandma in So Cal burns everything so you don't get to eat much with her.

Thanks, I'll have to check out that site. I lost almost a pound between Sunday and Monday, so I guess I didn't do too bad considering where I ate on Sunday. Phen has really been working as far as curbing my appetite. I'm finding that I can't eat nearly as much as I used to and I don't have "my eyes were bigger than my stomach" syndrome any more either.

It's been a good week! I lost close to 7 pounds in my 1st week, so I met my goal of 1 pound a day. If I keep up this rate, I could be done by November 1st (Yay, just in time to mess it all up at Thanksgiving and X-Mas LOL!)

I'm so happy!!! I weigh under 230 lbs. for the first time in 2 years!!!!

I weighed in this morning at 229.4 lbs. This has been one heck of a busy day though. I went to the chiropractor and went to the gym. I rode the stationary bike 20 miles today in about an hour. I am so exhausted that I don't think I could do anything else tonight.

I've lost 8.5 lbs! I never thought that this would actually work for me, but man am I seeing the results. If I keep up at this rate, I will be 140 lbs by November 4th. I know that this probably won't happen because I'll eventually taper off in how much I lose, but I really have high hopes for it to work. Wish me luck

Be careful with thinking you can get away with eatting bad too often or it might catch up with you. From what you have posted of your meals it seems like you need to add more veggies and fruits to your diet. Are you drinking LOTS of water?

I think yu did the right thing with your family. Whats wrong with some homemade pasta? Sounds Yummy to me! You stuck to a smaller portion size, so eating a little is fine! I don't think any foods should ever be totally off limits, otherwise you just crave it even more!

NTL,

It was only those 2 days that I ate "bad" things. Otherwise, I usually eat a salad for one meal every day and I have carrots or an apple or whatever fruit we have in the house for a snack twice a day.

I go through almost 2 big liter size bottles of water a day and that's about all I can handle.

For me, I think it is a good idea to make things off limits because I think it causes me to slip back into eating unhealthy things more and more.
