ok, I have cleaned out all the cabinets (full trash bag of bad food) Threw away the cigarettes, lighters, and ash trays. (hubby's gonna have a fit) I'm starting my workouts on Monday, but I am already doing my walking. I have my water bottle ready to make sure I'm drinking enough. I just talked to my husband and he said that if I am really going to be serious about it this time that he will not only support me but will join the effort. I'm so happy. This is even more incentive for me because I am always so worried about him. He weighs 430 pounds ( that equals size 6x or for jeans 60X34). He's a truck driver, not much exercise plus lots of time for boredom. He also said he would join me in quitting smoking. I know it's gonna be hard for him. He is up to almost 2 packs a day. I just pray that he will follow through and see how much better his life can be.

:-D You are seriously going to change your life by doing this! You sound very determined and ready to take the big step!Encourage your husband to do the same,he is in a tricky situation driving all the time!
My husband drives trucks too,but only 5am to 5 or 6pm,not long distance or overnight. His weight will half when he changes jobs in 6mths.I tend to cheat if I feel tired or there is bad[but yummy]food around.Get rid of all the temptations in the house, that will help heaps!!!!

Good luck to you. I saw this show on the Discovery Health channel. It's called I Lost It. There was a truck driver on there, he had lost over a 100 pounds maybe more and he's still a truck driver. He would bring with him lean meats, rice, vegtables and other healthy foods and keep them in a mini fridge. He had this cooker thing and put his food in and plugged it in to his cigarette lighter and it would cook his food. Why his food was cooking he would go for a walk. He stopped eating at the truck stops unless it was something healthy. Since he traveled all over the U.S. he would stop at YMCAs that were along his truck route and work out. He looked really good and lost a lot of weight. I hope that helps with your husband. You should get some gum and chew on that if you feel like snacking or smoking. The tootsie roll pops are low in calories and give that chocolate fix. Just a few ideas. Congrats on making this new lifestyle change.

I FEEL SOOOOO GOOD!!
Last night I went for a walk. Since it was already getting dark the pasture was out(too many snakes!!) Sooo, I decided to challenge the hill. I made it. I have always been able to but never without stopping and without that side stitch. This time I made it all the way to the ence of the street, it's only 1/2 a mile but it's 2 big hills and one small one! Coming down hill I made myself keep my pace instead of letting the gravity help me.
Ok weigh in...................OH my God!! 256! That makes 3 pounds this week. Oh yeah, I love you guys.

Good job!!! Do some stretches that'll help with that. I like to use the heating pad too.
