I though I might as well start my diary and let people get to know a little more about me.

So I started my diet on 7/28/05

I was hospitalized with a severe lung infection and was not expected to make it, the doctors put me on several type of steroids to help heal my lungs, after being released from the hospital in the beg of june 05 I was weighed and had gained 50 pounds while in the hospital from the steroids.

I have since begin South Beach Diet as well as Joined New Lady Fitness and have a personal trainer.

My starting weight was a massive 344

I will update my ticker regularly to show my progress. I will write in here as often as I can.

Welcome to the forum! I was misdiagnosed with MS for several years and was put on massive doses of steroids over a 4 year period. They definately wreak havoc! The weight comes on fast, but stays on. I feel for you! I gained about 80 pounds those 4 years and I blame alot of it on those drugs.

I started doing the SouthBeach Diet in January. I lost 28 pounds and learned which foods are good for me and which omes are not. I am no longer on it, but I try to use it as a guide to make better food choices.

I want to thank you all for such support. I do feel better I actually have never felt better. I joined the gym so I have a personal trainer. I do a complete 1 hour workout 3 times a week and on my off days I do water aerobics. It is so amazing how I feel right now.

I lost another 5 lbs and the workouts are getting easier even though I have added more work to them. I cannot believe how amazing it feels.
