Well I'm not completely sure where to start...I have never really been to this site but it seems pretty perfect for me! I have been trying to lose weight for ages now. I started going to Slimming World and when I weighed in there I was my heaviest ever at 13stone 4 or 186lbs. I was so shocked at this actually being my weight as I always thought of myself as being at heaviest at 178lbs!! Slimming world worked and in the first week I lost 6lbs and then 2 the week after! Then came on 1 and then off 2 and on and off and so on!! It was really hard as it is hard to work out what you can and cant have!!! And when you get over that, I seemed to be eating the same thing over and over and that got really boring!! Anyway I stopped going when I was at 175 because I hated going and paying just to be told 'oh you put on one!!' They were nice about it but I kept feeling more and more terrible so it wasnt helping my weighloss!!

Anyway so I decided that if it wasnt going to be food that I have to control, then I would up my activity!!! Now baring in mind I have an office job and barely do 2000 steps a day, and thats with walking around town in my lunch break, what I'm gonna say I now do is a major upping of my activity!! My week consists of Monday- nothing night off unless I decide to go to the gym or have a volleyball match, Tuesday - Have recently taken up pole dancing to lose weight, this is for an hour and man does it hurt in the morning!! I also some weeks have a volleyball match straight after my pole dancing, Wednesday - this should be home volleyball matches for my local team, if no match then its training for 3 hours, this week as I had my pole dancing on tuesday then a match straight after I just went to the gym for 2 hours instead of training, Thursday - this is mega important and much harder volleyball training, this is training to play for Plymouth (my town) in the South West league, Friday - this is when I have netball matches, I cannot go to netball training as it is on a Thursday night and I am not allowed to miss volleyball training. Saturday - dont have anything planned for this night but am thinking of going to the gym this week, Sunday - this is when we play the South West matches for volleyball, I have one this Sunday - we play 2 matches and this mostly lasts for most of the day!

So as you can see I am very active!! But I am still stuck on 175!!! Some days I dont eat much for lunch as I do not feel like it but I get home and have pizza or something!! I know this is bad but this is why i do all the exercise and I only mean like a small one - really loving Goodfellas Solo's at the mo!! This is why I do the exercise to allow myself to eat what I want!! Surely the main underlying fact for weightloss is - use up more than u eat and u loss weight, eat more than u use and u put on!?!?!?!?

Can anyone see where I am going wrong?? Is it really that even with the exercise I have to cut out the things I like??

:-(

Well I put my starting weight on here as 175lbs but that was what I weighed at the gym and so I thought, oh yeah I'm wearing trainers, I've gotta be that weight even on my scales at home!! No!! I weighed 177!! Wot is going on!! I just cannot believe that what I am eating is making me put on weight! Its really not that much and I do so much exercise that it should all be burnt off anyway?!?!?!?

I think I'm gonna have to cut down with what I eat!! Maybe I will stop having sandwiches for lunch (they are wholemeal bread with some sort of filling, and not ladened with mayo or anything) and go for a fruit salad or a smoothie or something?!?!? Maybe I should do the slimfast thing? Anyone tried that? Does it work? Or maybe I should take in to work soups? Not a big fan of water on powder soups but there is no microwave at work - I know how old?? We dont even have the internet yet!! My boss is so bad at getting things sorted out!! We've only just got the phone lines changed over to BT so that we can have broadband!?!?!?

Anyway so I will have to say that my new starting weight is 177lbs! I really wanted to be 174 by tomorrow!! Its not gonna happen!! I'm gonna try for that for next weekend then!! Sometimes I just think I am destined to be this size and if I am I think why because its not healthy and I am actually classed at overweight with the BMI!! So how is it I can only lose weight if I cut things out like carbs - the only diet I have ever done that has really worked has been the atkins!! And that like slimming world gets really boring - burgers, burgers, burgers!!!

Revised starting weight

177lbs

Well today is Tuesday. I've not done any exercise this week so far because I havent had anything planned, I do have a volleyball match tomorrow, volleyball training on Thursday and a netball match on Friday.

I did however do better with my food today. Instead of my usual sandwich that I take to work, I took some slimfast powder in to make a milkshake. I also had an apple as a snack. For breakfast I had apple oatso simple and for tea I had pasta with napolotana sauce. Yum.

I'm going to the doctors tomorrow to have tests for diabetes, and thyroid and some other one about iron. So I am on a kinda fast till tomoro morning. I'm not allowed anything apart from water from 10pm tonight until my appointment at 8:30 tomoro morning. I'm not a big water drinker - I make it up with no added sugar squash- maybe I should drink more plain water! OK that will be my new goal for tomoro, to drink more plain water. I hear everyone raving about it on other posts on here. I also read on here that diet coke is bad for you. But both on weightwatchers and slimming world diets it is allowed in unlimited amounts! I would much prefer to drink orange juice or apple but they all have so much sugar (natural yes) that there are quite a few hidden calories in them, that all add up!!

I've also just bought a magazine which says Rosanne Barr has lost 1 and a half stone and gone from a size 22 to a size 12!!! Now I'm a 14 and she looks bigger than me in the picture. And I would need to lose about 1.5 stone to 2 stone before I became a size 12?!?!?!?!? I am definately going to have to read what that is all about!! It's gotta be a misprint!!

Anyway off to drink my water and read that article. Sweet dreams x

Well I am pretty chuffed, I have lost 3lbs since last week. I did start something new this week and that was from a tip from one of these websites! It was instead of drinking coffee for the caffine to increase my metabolism, to take pro plus tablets. In the normal dose. And it seems to be doing some good!!
Has anyone else tried this? I also have been trying to stay off the bread?!?!? I havent cut carbs, just the bread!

But I am so chuffed as I have been stuck on 177lbs for ages!! Good to be off it!! I just hope I can keep it off now! I am aiming for a goal next week of 172 so fingers crossed. Will let you know how its going in the week!

Bye for now
