Thanks for posting Kathy!!!!

I am happy today. I am now down 6 pounds after 12 days. That's an average of .5 lbs a day! The amazing thing is that when I was a devoted Weight Watcher I lost an average of a pound a WEEK! So, even though I'd like this to be an even quicker fix, I am very content with how things are progressing.

This week when I was traveling I put a box of Nutrigrain bars in my suitcase. I had a breakfast taco for breakfast, a Nutrigrain bar for lunch, and maybe a Nutrigrain bar for a snack, followed by a "sensible" dinner...like soup and salad and that type of thing. I'll definately be packing more of the bars from now on. They were quick and easy and right there. Since I've been eating around 1000 a day, which is less than I'd like, I plan on eating more today to keep my metabolism up.

Unfortunately I haven't been exercising this week. I'm not sure why, I think that it is related to the cleanse that I am on. I was doing 5-6 days a week up until this week! So, I am going to make it a priority to get my buttocks to the gym today. I'll probably go after I talk to my therapist.

On the ED front...I only purged once this week! Go me!!!!

UGH! I know that the scale fluctuates for a variety of reasons. BUT goodness grief! I at 880 cals yesterday and over 100oz of water and I STILL gained .6. Blah!!!!

Anyways. I haven't been taking in more than 1100 cals a day for almost a week now. I think that today I will make sure that I eat more to make sure that I don't mess up my metabolism. I also plan on getting in another hour of cardio.

So...2 weeks and I am down 5.4 pounds. I'll take it!

Hi Jill! I just joined this forum yesterday so I am still new at navigating this site. I found your diary and was pleasantly suprised to find someone who is very similar to me. I too travel a fair amount with my work and work a lot, I have a 14 year old and a 4 year old. I work out religously 6 days a week, hard cardio for an hour and hour and a half on Saturdays. I run at least one marathon a year. I do free wights five days a week. My husband is a personal trainer and right now I am definetly bad advertising. I had to do something. Even though my diet is clean I think my portions may be too big and I know my metabolism is in a rut. ( My husband says I eat too little but I think that is because he eats like a horse and he is still in awesome shape.MEN!)
I am hoping the Phetermine will give me the kick I need. I haven't recieved it in the mail yet, but it should be here while I am traveling for work so I will probably start on it next week. I have 32 lbs to loose to get myself back ( body and self esteem) I am bound and determined.
Do you want to be motivation buddies? I am very knowledgable about nutrition and fitness, and for the most part I am an awesome motivational cheerleader, but I could use a buddy. I am a little scared about gaining weight back from Phetermine also. I was on it about 1 1/2 years ago for 2 months. It definetly worked but I did obvoiusly gain back the weight.Anyway, sorry, enough about me...good luck to you! You go girl!
I look forward to hearing from you!

Hey Josephine! Welcome to the site!

You definately work out more than me lately! This past week I've been really bad. I did an hour of cardio on Friday and I am going to go do another hour in a few minutes. For some reason I lost my momentum but this week I am going to work on getting it back.

You must be in amazing physical shape under those few extra pounds. I have about double what you do to lose.

I'd love to have you as a weight loss buddy! I need someone to kick my butt and get me back in gym mode.

I think that I haven't been eating enough calories. Today I've taken in 940 and that's my 3-day high. I'm probably going to go burn 700 off on the elliptical and that'll leave me with a net of 240 which I KNOW is WAYYYY too low. It really is a challenge to get all of the calories in.

Here's my chart for the first 2 weeks. I think that I was losing more when I was eating more. I'll work on uping it this week while I'm on the road and see what the scale says when I get back.

Day # Cals In Cals Out Total Cals Weight
1 ...1558 ...904 ...654 ...202
2 ...1326 ...0 ...1326 ...200.4
3 ...1626 ...246 ...1380
4 ...1386 ...0 ...1386
5 ...1476 ...233 ...1243
6 ...a lot ...0 ...a lot ...198.2
7 ...? ...0 ...?
8 ...? ...0 ...? ...198
9 ...? ...0 ...? ...198.2
10 ...? ...0 ...?
11 ...1050 ...0 ...1050
12 ...1046 ...0 ...1046
13 ...1460 ...783 ...677 ...196
14 ...880 ...0 ...880 ...196
15 ...980 ...395 ...585 ...196.6

The ?s are days that were less than 1000. I was hung over and/or feeling sick and I hardly ate anything.

 Hi Jill
good job. sounds like you are very determined and I know you will lose the weight. your chart on cal intake is awesome. I was reading your post and can you lose more calories on the ellipitcal machine than on the treadmill? and how did you do at your poker party?

Sounds to me like you are on the right track... packing the healthy bars for snacks sounds like it helps you out alot.. that's a great idea!

I've never had an eating disorder but do understand some about it.... Congrats to you for only purging once last week... that's great!!

Good luck to you this week... hope your week goes smoothly!
