I just started using phentremene about a month ago, so far I have lost a total of 13 lbs. Started at 175 down to 162 I am loving seeing it weight drop off. But I am afraid what is going to happen after I stop using phentremine, am I going to be fatter than before??

Anyone has some insight?

**good job on losing the 13lbs! It seems as if you and were at the same starting point. How tall are you? Maybe we are about the same! Keep it up, I am confident that you can do it! If I can, anyone can!!!**

I was worried about this as well, especially since it took me years to finally get motivated into working out and it took phentermine to give me the energy and motivation. I started at 173lbs(I'm 5'3) and have a small frame. From April 05 til Aug 05 I lost about 23 lbs. After that I didn't take phen for a month and lost more instead of gained. After that I got on it again and lost a few more lbs but wasn't working out so the effect wasn't that good, but I was still able 2 lose a few and have the energy.

Anyway, between November until yesterday(Feb 1st) I have been off phen and not working out like I used to. I have gained and lost about 5 lbs. The fact that phen doesn't make u feel hungry is a good thing for when you're off of it because eventually, mentally, you don't want to eat as much.

Do u have a diary? I'd love to se how it works for you. Everyones different and I was so scared I was going 2 gain it all back but thankfully I have not. 17 lbs to go! I'm sure I can do about 10 within a month.
Hope this helps!

I stopped taking phentremine and I am still taking off the weight, slowly though. Down to 158.5. I am still eating less though and drinking slim fast to replace 2 meals. It is just coming off so SLOW. Getting pretty frustrating. I am going to the gym as much as possible but my hours at work dont allow for much free time! As you can see I am writting back a month later! But 17.5lbs in 2 months aint to shabby. I am hoping by Apr 15 for the wedding I am in, I am done to 145-150ish. That would be AWESOME! That is awesome you are done 23 lbs. I bet it was Great to see 150 again!!! Havent seen that number in a long time. I was jumbing for joy when I got on the scale at 159!

So are you back on phentreme? Have you dropped your 10 extra lbs?

Oh yeah, I am 5'3!! Looks like are starting points were right on!

Good luck

sounds like you are doing really good :smt038 you have not gained anyweight and stopped taking phen and lost weight that is awesome!! taking the slim fast I think is pretty smart. i know its hard to find the time to work out but I do think that is key to losing weight. good luck and I do hope you reach your goal weight before the wedding :gg:

I lost 80 lbs on Phen. My insurance stopped covering it about 6 weeks ago, and since then I have gained 11lbs back. Is there a good over the counter substitute to help with minor hunger cravings? I really don't want to gain this weight back.

jdh1992....you could try the phen-d that is advertised on this website. It is similar to phentermine, but does not require a prescription. Cost is kind of high, I thought, and it did not work for me, but there are several on here that it worked great for...so it could be kind of hit and miss whether it would work for you. The company does offer a satisfaction guarantee if you buy the larger quantity, but not if you only buy a 30 day supply. There was a thread on here of a member trying to sell what was left of theirs...the screen name was wongster. You may want to try that route.

Good luck to you!!

when i got off phen after a year of being on it, in 2 years time i put on 48lbs, so im back on it. though i didnt really eat light or watch my calories either. i am one that will probably stay on and off of it for the rest of my life. i am hypoglycemic and risk getting diabetees, my family gains weight and becomes diabetic, i am very lucky that i havent. im so glad that we have a walk in clinic here in hammond indiana anytime i want phen i just go get it no questions asked. (except you cant get more then 5 weeks at one time,) we have obesity in our genes so i dont know if i will ever be able to keep it off permenatly even if i do eat healthy. im always hungry unless im on phen.

jdh, I got to thinking about this after posting about the phen-d....if you have a dr that will prescribe the phentermine, it is actually probably less expensive to stay on phen without insurance covering it than going the route of the phen-d. Actual phen pill cost about $1.00 per pill at my pharmacy and then the dr visit is $30 because I just see the nurse. Dr visit may cost more, but phen should be about the same cost.

So, unless you are trying to find something over the counter like SlimQuick or something like that, it probably is cheaper to stay with the phen, and you will get better results.
