UPDATE.. just in case you havn't read my more recent posts.. im off the low carb thing.. now im just counting my calories.. i missed my rice.. YUM!!! 3/1/06

8-) Hey ppl. Its been 2 days since I started taking Phen and started my low carb diet. Its actually been a whole lot easier that I thought it would be. Im not really hungry throughout the day but I make sure to snack every few hours. Ha. lemme break it down for you.

Take my pill at 9am. Have 1/3 of a 3 card yogurt cup (um.. yum right? not really) 3 hours later half a low carb kellogs crisp bar, 3 hours after that another 1/3 of the yogurt, and so on. For dinner, a couple of chicken breast pieces with salad, cheese, and hot sauce. (its not so bad really, its just a chicken taco with out the shell  . I make sure to have my last meal before 6pm.

Anyways, Its only been two days and I've already lost 8 pounds... maybe some of that was water weight or something because I dont think thats really possible... or is it? OK. Thats all for now.. BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

WOW 8 lbs in two days is great! But I wouldn't weigh very often if I were you. Sometimes pounds mysteriously come back when you do. Of course I don't think they really do come back..I Think the scales just fluctuate at certain times of the day, what you've eaten or drank, etc.. At least that is my opinion anyway. I was weighing every single day when I 1st started the pills 2 weeks ago and it was making me crazy! I've been on them almost 2 weeks and have lost 8 lbs!!

Ok you can drop pounds FAST when you are on a low carb diet... plus the Phen you'll be losing like crazy! BUT (and this is a huge butt... oops I mean but.. teehee) unless you plan on low carbing the rest of your life.. I'd get off it now! Because once you lose all the weight that you want to lose.... and you get off the low carb diet... you WILL (and I mean will.. because I did it...my Mama did it... friends did it... ) put all the weight right back on! There's nothing more frustrating than doing something just to see it be undone! Just my 2 cents.... maybe you are going to low carb the rest of your life. But the doc and nutritionist told me low carb isn't the healthy way to go... it will increase your cholesterol over time... not good things! Hope you reconsider. The nutritionist did tell me that if I was dead set on low carbing that I should look into south beach and NOT atkins (I was already on atkins for 4 months at that point)..... just trying to be helpful!!

Yea. I see what you're saying Kimber. I actually did some research a few days ago between the differences of counting CARBS and counting CALORIES. Counting calories is a whole lot easier and I can still have my breads and stuff. I CANT LIVE WITH OUT MY RICE EITHER!!! haha, Im half Filipina, we practically eat rice with everything. So basically I'm making sure I dont go over my calories, I actually eat less than what I have to maintain my weight, and working out sooooooo...this is so much better. Though things with low calories often have low carbs as well.

EWWW!! you know those low carb burgers at Carls Jr.? Well my friend saw something about it on the news.. that though it may only have 6 carbs, there is so much grease in the beef, and since there is no bread for the beef to be absorbed into, it just goes into your system. YUCK!!! so yea.. bad for your cholesterol.

Thank you Kimber for your comments. You are toooooo sweet!!!

Rosie

P.S.. YaY me! dropped another pound today!!!

Congrats on going down another pound.. that's awesome!

Well I must admit that I'm soooooo glad that you decided low carbing isn't quite right. lol The thing is that you can have rice and pasta.. and bread.. just watch your calories I love love love the Merita lite italian bread... 80 calories for 2 slices where alot of breads are 80 or more for 1 slice I'm having lunch now and it's that lite italian bread, 6 slices of turkey (50 calories), 1 slice reduced fat swiss (60 calories), and the smart balance butter is what I grilled it in... so yummy!!

Good luck to you
