Thanks Dreamy! I'm definetly bigger than a bread box. Could be worse ( Once was, 14 years ago I was 214 ) but I'm tired of " strategically dressing " just want to get back to my old self. Say - Looks like we have the same amount to lose. 30 something? Right. Well if you think about it in a positive way which I am about to force myself to that is only 10lbs 3x's in a row! - O.k. - I need sleep. Thanks for the reply! Have a beautiful night! :smt039

:-D Hi Josephine
Sorry to hear about your father in law but awesome he's fine. You are very tall 5.11 at 175 i bet you don't look like you weight that much I think when you tell people they get surprized I am 5.7 and weighted 169 and people thought I was lying when I told them my weight.. I am glad I am tall. My best friend is 5.4 and weighted the same and wow I did look way thinner than her. You should not be bummed about yourself at all I hate to say this but I think its awesome you are doing somthing about it now at 175 than 275 you know what I mean. I bet you your honey is very proud of you, waking up at 5 am to work out that is awesome. i am also doing the challenge and I had a good work out today too.. how long did you work out for and are you just doing cardio or the muscel machines

HOW ON EARTH HAVE I MISSED YOUR JOURNAL????

Ok let me start off by saying I'M SO SORRY I haven't been here yet! lol

Josephine.... your pic is just beautiful!!!! Some how I pictured you with long dark hair.. such a beautiful lady, I just knew it... teehee And your hubby is such a handsome man... gorgeous couple!

You are one awesome lady I can tell that from your posts.... I am like you in that I don't care what any of my family or friends weighs.. I still love them just the same... but myself, I don't want that for me! I want to be FIT.. I want to be HEALTHY.... I want out of this big shell... it's not the right size for the me that's inside... I totally agree with you on that! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the beach and we do it alot.. but last year I was in capri pants and a tshirt... very sad for me... everytime we went I cried on the inside because I so wanted to be relaxing in the sun watching my kids play in the surf while catching some rays.. not covering 80% of my body :( But I assure you that THIS SUMMER is gonna be different!! Even if I'm only down enough to comfortably wear a 1 piece.. I'm gonna be in a damn swimsuit come hell or high water Preferably high water... teehee

Ok girl.. keep on keepin on!!!!

Hey Jo!

My favorite way to strategically dress is to wear black bottoms! That's seriously all that I wear for work. I can't wait until I feel comfy enough to spice it up!

Hi Friends! I wrote this long message ( I seem to do that far too often...) About how happy I am to have found this forum blah blah and then I had to get up and take care of something and when I came back to my computer it had logged out so I have no idea if I am repeating myself or not....
Anyway - What I wrote was how wonderful it has been to find this wonderful fellowship of sisterhood everyday with women who share similar stories; mothers, hard working women who give a lot of themselves and have found themselves in a place where they feel the need to do something to change so they connect and inspire! Now how cool is that? What a great sisterhood! I wish I could take everyone out to lunch!
Monica - Thank you for the post. When I tell people my weight ( which is few and far between) they say I don't look it. I think their just being nice. I am so careful how I dress though that I think I just hide it well. Like Fridays at work I let my staff dress in jeans for Friday casual. I won't wear them unless I wear them with a long suit jacket over my big " baby got back" or else I'll just wear a jeans skirt. I just want to get out of this shell too ( Kimber ) and slip into a nice pair of size 8 or 6 jeans and wear and be able to show my butt and not worry. ( I really carry all my weight in my butt and thighs.) If I wear a shorter skirt I wear high boots to cover my big calves.
You asked about my workouts? Well today I did an hour of cardio oday: 20 min eliptical, 20 min run, 20 min stairs and then worked free weights - it was biceps today. I do an hour of cardio 5 days a week and an hour and a half on Saturday. I do free weights 5 days working seperate muscle groups.

I have been running for 13 years. Started after my son was born and like Forrest Gump just didn't stop. At first I couldn't huff up a flight of stairs, I was over 200 and very out of shape. Than I ran a mile, Then 2 and then a 5k and then pretty soon I ran marathons. I run because so women in some countries aren't allowed to walk out of their houses, I run because some people can't walk, I run just because I can.

-I have run at 145lbs, 12% body fat and qualified for Boston and I have run at 180lbs, 25%- like this last year and it took me over 5 hours to finish. ( That one of the many reason why I want to get back down to my goal weight.)I love the fellowship and the amazing human spirit! I love doing fundraisers too. Running keeps me sane although you might say I am insane for doing it. It is amazing the will power one can muster up if they want to and I love tapping into that. I'd encourage any woman to try it, even if it is just like the walk to cure breast cancer or anything.

Kimber - You are such a wonderful spirit. So positive and encouraging. I hope you take good care of yourself like you take care of everyone else. I know what you mean about the beach and summer. Lets make this one different! I am sick of hiding too. We can do this!

Jill - Black pants, ahh...what would I do without them? Long skirts, long suit jackets, black pants and snowmobile suit's j/k!) - Actually - too bad for me that MooMoo's like the one's from the 80's that Mrs Roper from Three's Company wore would be awesome to hide in...
Good night! Sweet skinny dreamin gals!

I think this will work. This is a picture of me running in the Twin Cities Marathon - this last October. Happy but heavy! This year when I do it with out the extra 30lbs it will be alot easier and I will be a lot happier! :-D
