I am a 32 year old mother of 2 and have not been able to get my pregrancy weight off since my last child which was THREE years ago. I have tried everything and I do mean everything. I just could not keep my appetite under control.I am also a stay at home Mom and I am around food all day. A friend of mine started going to a Dr. for B-12 shots,Phentermine and eggs, meat and cheese diet for a month then you add veggies after the month. I hesitated at first because, I am not a big meat eater. However, I was desperate well, after two weeks I lost 15lbs. of course my starting weight was 207. I was thrilled but, I started not feeling well without the carbs so, I slowly started adding veggies and some bread and boy do I feel better. I know, it will slow down my weight loss but, I would rather feel better than sick. I was taking a whole Phentermine 37.5mg tablet for the first 3 weeks. However, yesterday I cut them in half and took one in the morning and one in the afternoon and it really cut back on the heart pounding and I don't feel so wierd. I have been exercising now 3-4 times a week for about 3 months bascially doing cardio I increase my cardio by one minute each week and will continue to do so, until I reach and hour. I also, do sit-ups and lunges and push ups. I am going to stay away from the weights until I lose at least half my weight; I tend to bulk up too much with the weights and when I am so heavy it makes me feel fat. Well, I guess for now that is my story and hopefully each week I will weigh a little less and feel a little better.

Chersten, 15 pounds is a great start to your diet! Congratulations! That's awesome. And I'm completely jealous, although totally happy for you Sounds like you have a smart plan about diet and exercise. I like how you're adding a minute a week.... never occurred to me that I could do that but it makes perfect sense. I think it's better to eat a wide variety of foods... much easier to maintain over a long haul. The secret, or so they say, is portion control. Anyway, I like your plan and I think you're going to be hugely successful with it! Ellen

I want to thank you for the words of praise. The last two weeks have been a little tougher on me. I am PMSing as I do for two and 1/2 weeks prior to TOM. However, I go to the Dr. tomorrow for my two week weigh in and B-12 shot. I will for me, consider it a achievement if I have just stayed the same. My diet has been so sabotaged by me periods since I have had children. I just have no control (over my eateing) during those two and 1/2 weeks prior (sorry if this is too much information) as, I am sure a lot of women do. I have struggled for 3 years now after my last child and I will lose great the week and 1/2 prior to my PMSing and then during the 2 and 1/2 weeks of PMSing I gain it all back and then some. So, because of the Phentermine I feel like I have a little control over the situation. I have only really had two "BAD" days during the last two and 1/2 weeks which for me is really an achievement. So, wish me luck at the scale tomorrow and hopefully the after TOM I will have a big weight loss again!
