Well, I took the step of signing in, and making it through ONE good day. It's a start! I'm a stressed out mom of 2 (plus a new foster baby age 2) that has a very nasty habit of binge eating!
I'm 5' 10" and have eaten my way to 194 pounds. My ideal weight (that I will feel strong and healthy at) is 150#.
Goals:
Get a healthy lifestyle established (I've been down this
diet road too many times)
How? Focus on longevity, feeling good, and setting a proper example to my children
Ultimately lose 45 pounds and build muscle and endurance
Feel confident and proud of my body--stop hiding it!!
Get involved again in PLAY--sports with my kids, local leagues, etc
I'm expecting my
Phentermine to arrive tommorrow (I need some help with the binge eating/appetite control). I'm not a big
water drinker, but in reading everyone's posts, I see it is not an option...ha. My trick to hit the 100 oz is to use my 25 oz water bottle, and put 4 rubber bands on it. Once it's empty, I move the bands one by one to my wrist, and thus have a tactical reminder of my progress throughout the day. (did this before, and it works).
Anyway, thanks already to everyone's candor and willingness to share their trials and triumphs...it's already been a huge inspiration and a kick in the tootie that I was looking for. Ironically, it was 2 years ago today (didn't know that until I hunted up an old
journal of mine) that I first wanted to get serious about my health...since then, I've lost and regained anywhere from 10-25 pounds repeatedly. UGH. Talk about depressing!! Anyway, I needed to get my goal "PUBLIC" and force myself to be held accountable. I tend to do well for short term, and then in moments of high stress (normal for me with job, life, etc) I BLOW IT.
Thanks for the opportunity to talk, struggle, and feel normal in a safe environment! Here's to another day tommorrow!
