So here we go. I am starting 37.5 mg of Phentermine tomorrow morning. I feel really nervous about it as of right now, but really excited and motivated at the same time. I am 5'7" and 259 lbs. Here are some stats for ya...

Goal weight: 150
Hope to achieve in: 18 months
How I'm doing it: Phentermine, strict diet & exercise
Am I 100% motivated: definitely.
I'm starting: 6am--- 8/3/06

I am overall a happy person. I attend Jacksonville University & currently am in a sorority. I am a Nursing major and hope to work in a hospital within the next 2 years. My family is my strength and I have the best friends in the entire world who completely love me and support me no matter my size. But what really motivated me is a certain guy in my life. He is a foreign exchange student from Germany named Max, and is currently back home
 , and I miss him more than I could ever imagine. He is the love of my life and my best friend.

BUT, last week I booked my ticket to GERMANY! So... from December 26-January 9 I will be trekking all over Europe with my favorite person in the entire world, and I want to look and feel amazing for my trip.

I tried to post a before picture in this post, but for some reason I can't get it to work, so if you want to see me I uploaded to the gallery... the keyword is daryle.

Here's to a new life!!!

So today was a little bit different than yesterday. Yesterday I was so wired I cleaned my entire apt and did approx. 8 loads of laundry. I was pretty productive. I felt a little bit neurotic and shaky all day, but I was able to sleep well last night.

Today I woke up at around 6 (same time as yesterday) and took my pill. I knew it was going to be an interesting day considering I was going to be working a double shift as a waitress. I guess I was really dehydrated today, because at around 2 I became really nauseous. But, I definitely was motivated all day and even though my body is physically exhausted, my mind is still racing and alert.

I haven't lost any weight yet... is that weird? I always see people posting and losing a couple of pounds within the first few days. I know it's only day 2 but I'm so ready to see results!

Here is another thought that has been crossing my mind... I am a waitress and I bust my ass for my job at least 8 hours a day. Constantly running around and sweating and pretty much just being on my feet and moving. Should I still be doing extra cardio on the side, or do you think my job is enough?

I'm open to any opinions

Hi, Daryle ~ My body loses weight so slowly that it sounds normal for me. I think if you are over a certain weight that you'd lose weight faster than a smaller person. My 250 pound husband will lose much quicker than 150 pound me. I think we lose the same percentage but not the same amount. If he lost 10% of his weight, he'd lose 25 pounds; if I lost 10% of mine, I'd lose 15 pounds. (all this is hypothetical)

Be sure to eat regularly. I eat every 3 hours, about 200 calories at a time with some protein each time, but you have to find a plan that works best for you in your life. Drink at least 100 oz. of water every day. I think no matter how much exercising you normally do, you must step it up a bit for mamimum loss.

Good luck, Girl, and post again soon!

One word: WOW!

I lost 7 pounds! I can't believe it! In 6 days!! I'm so excited! I haven't really noticed any differences yet, but I've heard that you really can't tell until 10 pounds. But wow! I've never felt better!

I've completely changed my lifestyle 100%. Not one drop of caffeine and I work out on my days off for 45 mins. I haven't had one cigarette and I have not touched one piece of fried food.

I know that I really haven't been eating enough though. I'm just not hungry. I have been drinking bottles of Propel though like they are nothing, and it helps pick up my calorie count a little bit. I crave salads and am drowning myself in water. I love this lifestyle!

I haven't felt this good in a really long time.

:-D

:smt038 You GO, Daryle !! It sounds like you are really turning your life around. Congratulations on no caffeine, cigarettes or fried food. That is quite a lot to do all at once with the exercises you have added in, too! If you can keep this up, you can be a poster child for healthy lifestyles!

Be careful to eat well, always thinking of the ways food fuels your body. Eat often and eat the right foods and you will continue to do great!! Yay!
