My mother and I started Phen last tuesday and so far I have lost weight but my mother hasn't. The pills are definately helping with her appetite because she doen't snack all day like she use to. She eats small meals and drinks only water. She is already ready to give up because she doesn't think she will ever lose any weight. She is 5'4 and weight around 215?? She is also 54 years old which might be apart of it. She workouts out probably 3-4 days a week for 30 minutes. I think maybe she needs to kick up the cardio to over an hour a day. What do you guys think? We just started doing some weight training yesterday. It is hard for me to help because I am so young my metabolism is still working pretty good so I can lose alittle by just cutting my food intake. I just don't want her to give up. Does anyone have any good advise.

I was also thinking of switching her to ephedra because so many people lost a ton of weight before they took that stuff off the market.

Thanks for any advise you can give me.

Hello, I would suggest that she join the forum, there are older members and they would have words of encourement for her, sometimes its better coming from your peers! good luck!

Good Morning, Baby! Is your mother counting her calories? When it comes down to it, even the most resistant bodies lose when they take in less than they put out. Also, she must eat a minimum of 1,000 calories a day. Too few can throw her body into starvation mode.:eek: Count calories, eat several times a day, beginning with breakfast, eat a little protein at every mini-meal, do some form of exercise daily, fill up with vegetables and limit carbs to whole grains only. She should be drinking water, at least 100 oz. daily and try taking her phen a couple hours after she has finished breakfst if a taking it before breakfast hasn't worked.
Please give us an update on your loss and how Mama is doing~ she should start her own journal here so those who have had those same issues can help!
