Okay...I think I finally figured out how to start this journal thanks to Susan!

Day 1- 202 pounds ....Size 16

Started Phentermine 37.5 mg tablets ..white with blue specs

Had a lot of energy! Was never jittery , blood pressure remained stable (I do have problems with BP).

Took the whole pill at 7:30am. Ate some oatmeal afterwards. (I never eat breakfast).

Feeling good at work. On top of things. At lunch ate Weight Watchers meal and apple chips and was satisfied.

Dinner..Weight Watchers meal and realized I had not consumed at least 1,000 calories, so I ate 1 serving of Sun Chips.
I drank some water today, but I was't anymore thirsty than usual.

Fell asleep easily!

Calories: (Guess I only consumed 980 - will watch closer)

Oatmeal - 150
Weight Watchers - 300
Apple Chips - 50
Weight Watchers - 310
Sunchips - 170

Jen, you did a great job posting your journal! I agree with Joy that you were one 'smart cookie' in adding more calories. Never going under 1,000 calories will actually make you lose quicker. Your body wants to hold on to every pound if you eat too little. It's built into our bodies as a survival mechanism.
P.S. I guess 'smart cookie' should be changed to 'smart little broccoli stem'.

Today I cut my pill in half hoping that I would not get as hungry as early as I did. I did though. I am just going back to the whole thing in the morning.

Today went well...I did actually get the cotton mouth today. I was not real thirsty though,, just cotton mouth. Felt pretty good. I am going through the daily headaches from caffeine withdraw though. I am used to at least 6 sodas per day. Dr. said each 12 oz can of soda that you may as well just eat a piece of pie and so I was eating a whole pie per day! Never thought of it like that! Scary! On top of the other fattening foods and sweets I would eat.

Breakfast (oatmeal) - 150 calories
Lunch (mandrin salad) - approx. 500 calories
Snack (2 Tbs. trail mix) - 160 calories
Dinner (Weight Watchers Garlic chic. pizza) - 290 calories

Total= 1,100 calories

I got in over 1,000!!!!! Yeah me!

You are really kickin' it, Jenn! Good for you! I think it is much easier for me to write down what I eat and count up the calories as I go, as you did. If I see I am already past 1,000 calories, it stays on my mind and helps me resist any foods in the frig that are sceaming at me to come eat them!:cool:
