Hi Everyone,

I've been a member for a few months, I've asked some question, answered some questions, but wasn't real serious about keeping a diary. I assumed ( incorrectly ) that the weight would just fall off as it did in the past. I have taken diet meds on and off almost my entire life, once I lost the weight I usually kept it off for long periods of time. But, man, I'm having the most difficult time losing it! Sooo, I have decided to start a food diary and a diary here so maybe I can figure out what I'm doing wrong! My mother - in - law has given me her Nutra System food ( she's allergic to soy ) and I'm hoping that help's kick it up a notch. If anyone has advice, I will happily take it.

Welcome to this thread, Chris! I am proud of you for starting this journal. I really think there is something about doing this with each other's support that makes it possible. Worthwhile things are NEVER easy. We will each just take it one day at a time and one meal at a time. And we will do it together! I can't wait to read your post after tomorrow~

I think support is just as important to weight loss as counting the calories, eating good food, drinking water and exercise.

Hi, Girlie! How is it going for you? If you will, please tell us the diet meds you have taken in the past and how you felt each worked for you~
 Are you still keeping a food diary? I am hoping you will soon post and let us know whether you are using the food plan your mother-in-law gave you or whether that is just for a couple meals a day.

Hi Susan,

I am still keeping the food diary and I've lost a couple of pounds this week. My mother -in-law gave me a months supply of the Nutrisystem and it tastes pretty good. As for the diet meds, I have taken Bontril PDM ( which seems to work the best for me. But I can't find an online pharmacy that has it. Slow release does not work for me at all. If you know of a pharmacy that carries it I'd love to know.) Phendimetrazine ( generic bontril pdm, it doesn't work as well as Bontril, but still works really well.), phentermine (Works pretty good but I think I'm getting to use to it), Diethypropion( Made me moody, but I may try it again) and Xenical(Waste of money:rawrrrrr: .) So, I have lots of practice! If I can't find Bontril PDM than I think I'm gonna switch to Phendimetrazine for awhile and see if that helps.
Wish me luck!

Thanks Kimber,

Congratulations on all of tour success in your weight loss! You Look awesome!

I've decided to switch to Phend. for a while to see if the change helps. Although I've been whining about how hard it's been to lose any weight lately I have managed to knock off 8 lbs. Yea, for me! So, I guess I'll quit cryin

Thanks so much for the support, I love this forum!
