As of last october at 165 i decided to start working out after seeing a photo of myself. I just thought i was shrinking my close in the laundry, lol. After 8 mos of working out i lost 20lbs. slow process but still happy i wasnt 20lbs heavier atleast. At the end of the 8 mos i became a lil down after not getting a job i have been trying to get for years. Unfortunately i'm not the type to lose my appitite when i'm down, lol. furtunately i only put on 10 lbs. i started working out again and taking phen as of a week ago. i'm down to 147. Dont know how long it will take but i would like to get to 135lbs.I'm patient some weight loss is better than non Ok cant type any more i have to put my daughter on the bus and go out for my morning run!

Hi, Marie and welcome to the PhenForum! You won't be disappointed by joining this group; our folks here are caring, knowledgeable and helpful. The support team here is the very BEST. If you post a problem in your journal, you may wind up with several answers within a day!:p
I am glad you have decided to get healthy again. 147 pounds sounds like a great weight loss to me and yor determination to exercise and lose for 8 months is really spectacular, seeing as how most of us give up our diets after a few days!
As far as our jobs...it is good to have aspirations and goals but also important to know how to bloom where you have been planted and to love where you are right now..today. Today is a gift and when you are ready and they are ready, I feel sure you will have that job you have wanted for so long. Keep going, Hon! YOU CAN DO THIS!

Today i did my upper body work out before i got ready for work. i didnt push myself as hard as usual(to early in the morning). I work with mentally handicapped teenagers with aggression issues. Well today i got the crap scratch out of my hands and arms by one of the kids. it looks like some kind of egyptian hyrogliphics or something, lol. maybe i'll do a light cardio before the day is out(5:50P as of now). hope all is well with everyone.

i'm trying my hardest not to get on the scale everyday. its so addictive!

First of all, welcome and great that you exercise every day!
I don't remember who but somebody on this forum once posted that weighing yourself every day motivates you to lose weight faster. I myself try to stay away from my scale...
What is your diet? What do you do for exercise?
XXXXX

i'm not on any particular diet that involves calarie counting. i do eat healthy. morning i might eat eggs toast and fruit or oatmeal and fruit. protien shake for mid morning snack. then a chicken sandwich for lunch with a salad. dinner always changes but it consist of protien, veggies but usually no carbs.
I do weight work out (split between upper body and lower body) 4x a week and i run about 5x a week.

most people have candy weaknesses. im hooked on slim jims and beef jerky. i know they are high in calories and sodium 4 such a little piece of meat. but i foget about all that and say its protien
