Hey folks,
I hope I was supposed to hit new thread when it told me to start my
journal.
Ian and Dawg can smack me around if I am in the wrong area.
I am a person you might have seen (picture to come) on the UFC pay per view events as well as the Ultimate Fighter Reality show first season. My life has been turned upside down after the show and still doing great in the insane world of Mixed Martial arts. Beleive or not I have an undergrad in Finance and an M.S. in Computer Science but after winning the show I had to drop all that.
Speaking of dropping all that I started as a heavyweight in the heavyweight division but needed to get into the light heavyweight division at 205lbs. Guys walk around in the 220's and then drop to 205lbs for the weigh in a day before rehydrate and come in at well above 215 on fight day.
We all have this down to a science but it does not take a nutrionist to realize this is not good for your body. I am looking to take my body down to 205 and stay there as apposed to dropping 20 and gaining 20 in two days.
It is difficult as everyone does this so in essence I will be fighting someone who outweighs me in every fight going forward. However, longterm I will last much longer.
My resting heart rate has drop to the high 50's which has left me with unreal stamina. I am 6'3 and big for the division and leaves no room for fat.
Folks, please don't beat me up if you are not in agreement with the brutality of our sport as it has changed for the better more than you can imagine.
Sorry to ramble but I am now walking around at 222 where I used to be 240 at times. Goal is 210 cut to 205 prior to competition.
Take care all. You guys all seem like balanced people and I like the support.
I am still debating regarding my identity as some fighting Athletic Commissions may not like the fact I have used
Phentermine too accomplish a good and healthy cause.
Steven is my middle name
