So anyway..I started Phen last Thurday Morning. I have been having some side effects , but I noticed alot of them are going away. I am taking the 37.5 and only half in the am and the other half through out the day as needed.

The first day and second I took a whole pill. Wow. I couldn't handle it. I should have started out with only half.

I weigh 240 and am 5 feet three inches of fatness.lol

I just had a baby though. Sad , but 240 is my pre-pregnancy weight. :-( I sorta started dieting before the phen and lost about 6 pounds. So I have only really lost 4 pounds since i started. I keep weighing myself even though I know you shouldn't a freakin scale doesn't move a muscle.

wonder if i got a faulty scale. Ha ha. I need to make a habit of only weighing myself weekly. I started drinking more water and notice my side effects have gone down since i did that.

I'm really glad I found this forum. It's great support.

Stephanie, I hope you don't mind if I change the title of your journal to something more optimistic because I think you're gonna do great!

You shouldn't put yourself down in your journal title. It's proven that if you are told something enough times you eventually accept it. So let's get that out of there.

How about:

Ahhh yes. It's so full of purpose and resolution.

You have already made 2 MAJOR healthy decisions.

a) you have realised that your weight was causing you unhappiness and acknowledged that you want to do something positive about it.

b) that positive thing is that you have joined PhenForum.


Please use your journal (this space on this thread) to write about everything and anything, let us know about your daily life, what you enjoy and brings a smile to your face, what gets you down and makes you frown, what exercise you are doing, what yo uare eating, tell us everything and anything.

In return we are listening to what you say, we are stood in your corner chanting your name, every hurdle you leap over we are there on the track side jumping up and down chanting your name, if you do trip we will hand you a hand and give you a hug and the motivation to pick yourself up and dust yourself down to give you the encouragment that you can and will try again, but from the place where you were.

Any questions you have then ask them, we will try our best to answer, if we don't know the answers then we will try our best to find them for you.

So then that said, lets have some positive thinking and speaking.

I hear ya, Steph! Some like to weigh daily because they say it helps them adjust their daily intake before it gets out of hand. For me, that is akin to having a scale drop on your toes once a day--SO DISCOURAGING for me. I have adapted Lea's day to weigh...Mondays only. And even then, if I don't like what it says, I weigh again Tuesday and take the lowest weight as my real weight.
Why don't you give that a try?
