Hi Ladies!!

I really don't have anything new to report. Today was another busy day running around. Eddie ended up taking the day off so I of course had to alter my schedule to babysit him. He went with me to take Ty to the ortho then we went to DMV to correct the error the car dealer made when we purchased his car. Instead of issuing new tags for the car, they transferred the tags from my Volvo. Unbeknownst to me, I have been driving around with tags that didn't fit my car. It was easy enough to fix. Once home, I did a bit of work then went for a jog. 2.25 miles in exactly 30 minutes. I was pleased with my time. Then I went to the gym for the hip hop dance class. It really is a slow class, but it works on the days that I run outside.

We spent the evening at Hooters with the car club. Our first official mtg of the year is next Tues but we have cruise ins every week. I spent about an hour talking with an elder who I had discovered is a retired NHRA drag racer. This man is a wealth of information!! He has so many contacts... knows so many people... and has so many good ideas! Our club is fairly small with about 60 members but fairly low participation. Mike and I are really busting our butts to pull off a great show in March to hopefully boost interest and excitement. The people in power are of course fighting us every step of the way. But this gentleman has seen our drive and even though he will not be in town for this event, he's made phone calls on our behalf and has put us in touch with some really big names(old and new). The show is March 15th and there is still SO MUCH TO DO!!!

Today was weigh in and it wasn't nearly as good as I had hoped. 190.8... not even as low as I'd seen throughout the week but it wasn't a gain! So for that I'm happy. I really cannot complain as the month of December was extremely good to me... especially considering the holidays. Maybe I'll see the 180's next week!!

So, that's about all that's going on here. I'll check in with all of you tomorrow... I'm exhausted and off to get some sleep!

I used to race a drag car!!! It was a Competition Altered, I remember that much... and it ran on methanol!!! I was in my boyfriend's race team... and back then (I was 21) it was really cool for a girl to race... you got more sponsorship... so never one to pass an opportunity... I did! It was way cool!!! Sigh... back in the old days at Santa Pod in the Midlands of the UK!!! It was pretty freaky though and I had to wear a firesuit, it had three gears only and I often used to bash my helmet on the back of the freaking roll cage, it took off like a bat out of hell!!! So another secret out eh?
