Hey Kris, I'm not sure exactly where you are in our great state... but if you're close enough, we could swap!! Have you ever wondered why it doesn't seem like such a chore to clean a friend's house?? Ahh... another mystery!

Kickboxing was okay today. I survived which is a plus! He made us do a bunch of running... I personally did a BUNCH of sweating! I do believe that man is trying to kill me! I'm already sore!!!! But in a good kind of way!

Weigh in is tomorrow and I admit... I am NOT looking forward to it! This morning I did see a 7 but who knows if it'll be there in the morning. At least that 1.8 I've already knocked off my ticker is from this week! I suspect next week will log a gain so I'll enjoy what little bit went away tomorrow. Not sure my doctor is going to be too thrilled next Thursday.

Joy, I hope you got more done around your house than I did today! I'm not certain where to hours are going... but I'm not getting things done.

Ty just called... he's done with work... I'll be back later!

Hey there just are not enough hours in the day! You got it right, so easy to clean something that is not your house. Are you in NC too? It sure is a small world isn't it?
Sounds like you done well with the kickboxing, hope you can get out of bed in the morning....

Hey Miss Martini!
I am up at last, update in my journal!
I have just read all your posts, what is this about a 'vow renewal' please tell all!!!!
Sounds like kick boxing is the way to lose weight that's about the closest icon I could get to that, and all the while I have been haha!
.... well I am not that old yet, and of course I am not a guy but we have to make do with our 'limited' supply of smilies!! Not! It is a really good range
I am now going to have a cup of tea and get into my proposal and rehearse this speech for Sunday
No peace for the wicked around here!!!

I have a friend who is kickboxing and really loves it. She said her first week was rough. She hurt in places she didn't even know she had.....

Good morning ladies!!

Cheryl, I'm hoping it's the way to go! I tried to remember back when I first started KB-ing last December. I stayed with it for about 4 months before my knee really started bothering me. I don't recall much weight loss, as I was still eating whatever I wanted. But I do remember being firmer and my clothes fitting better. We'll see... I'm crossing my fingers!

Kris, yes... I'm right on the coast. Bred and raised! Love it here and couldn't imagine living anyplace else!!

Gillian, the amount of things you get done in a day is amazing to me! I want your energy!! It seems lately that I can get my workout in, morning emails and few phone calls, move children from school to wherever they need to go and that's about my quota! NO problems falling asleep this week! I don't know what's wrong with me!

I actually feel good this morning. I was careful to stay after class yesterday and stretch for about 10 extra minutes. We had a fairly late dinner(8:00) as I was cooking tilapia and handsome hubby worked late so I didn't want to cook it and have it be rubbery by the time he was home. I was feeling a bit stiff after that so I hopped on the treadmill for a light walk of about 20 minutes and then stayed on the floor for more stretching throughout Grey's Anatomy. That may have been the trick... I'm going to have to try that again after the next class. I guess you can't stretch too much!!

Okay, I was going to wait until I had at least one pic to share of the renewal before I told the whole story but here goes... I'll even try for the condensed version... honest!

Hubby and I married very young, 20 and 17 respectively. Due to the circumstances, I often wondered if he was here because he felt he had to be. KWIM? In the last few years, that question had driven a wedge between us. Me not knowing and him not knowing how to show me. Remember, he's that quite, shy guy... without a clue! So, about a year ago he went to my 2 best friends and told them he wanted to 'fix' our marriage and the only way he could think to show me that he wanted to be here was to marry me again. But he wasn't sure how or where. The 3 of them batted around many ideas that just didn't work for him. Once we decided on the Jamaica trip for our anniversary... it just all kind of came together. We travel to the caribbean often and it just defines 'us'. So he employed the help of my friends to set up the details. He planned the whole thing. Date, time, flowers, cake, band, picture locations after the ceremony, etc. He even went to the courthouse to get a copy of our marriage license(that was BIG for him! lol). I had no idea about any of this until he proposed on the beach the night before! He bought me a new wedding ring with both dates engraved on the inside along with 'One Love'... which is my #2 favorite Bob Marley song. The #1 being 'No Woman, No Cry' which he had the band play for our first dance.

So that's it... my handsome husband who has never planned a surprise in his life and has nearly zero romantic tendancies, gave me my answer and pulled off the very best, most memorable moment of my life! Next to our children being born of course!

Sorry for the lengthy post... but I'm sure you have come to expect them from me!

Oh WOW!!!!!!! What a man!!! I can't imagine mine ever having the motivation to do something like that. It's incredibly romantic!

I can relate to your issues with getting married young. My ex-husband (the father of my 13 year old son) and I got married early, too. (Me, 17... Him, 19) It puts such a strain on your relationships, and I know it's one of the reasons ours failed. (But, mostly my fault). So, whenever I see another couple working through the disadvantage of marrying young, it warms my heart! Congratulations on your "renewal"! From the bottom of my heart!
