C.C., actually... I'm medium to large boned. The difference is probably that I have an athletic build(not that you can see it right now! ). I have really large muscles and so I could then weigh more yet wear a smaller size as a pound of muscle is takes up less room than a pound of fat. Have you ever figured your "pounds of lean body mass" or "pounds of fat" or "% of fat" on your body? It's pretty interesting... here's a link if you're interested.

Home Body Fat Test

I'm not sure that I posted my end of November information. I'll have to do that at some point.

Here's another interesting link I can across today... it really puts our pounds lost in perspective!!

How Many Pounds? How Many Calories?

I'm tiny boned. I always wanted to be big boned so I'd have a reason for the excess of me. But btw, I am falling out of 16s right now and have recently bought size 14 pants. I think Anissa is right on the lean muscle mass playing a major factor. I hadn't thought about my small boned nature as a positive for my sizes but I guess it is. Crazy. All I care about is that it fits, not what the label says. Ah, progress. Ellen

I do mine on the last day of the month... you'd be amazed at the changes your body can go through even though you've only lost say 4 pounds!! For instance, I only lost 4.4 pounds for the entire month of October... but I lost 14.5 inches!!!!
Absolutely correct Miss CZJ! I lost 11 pounds in my first two weeks and then lost NOTHING for four weeks! I could have seen that as very discouraging BUT my body needed that four weeks to adjust itself and lose inches and re-shape into the new size under it's skin! This is where it is vital not to lose that consistency...I went on to lose another 6 pounds and so over ten weeks in total, that averaged out to 1.7 pounds a week! So everyone is different and measuring is an ABSOLUTE MUST!

Great articles! I need to focus on that 10% suggestion. 10% of when I started would be about 150 for me. I'm almost there! Perfect goal for the end of December (maybe even Christmas). The next 10% would be my ultimate goal weight 135.

I catch myself thinking because I have 18 pounds to go a little extra carb heavy or fattening food is okay, because this is a long process. That eventually will lead to over-indulging and sabotaging the success I've already achieved. With 3 pounds left to go, however, there is less wiggle room.

Thanks for sharing!

My pleasure ladies!! There are so many resources out there that if read at the right times(emotionally) will bring us so much further in our journeys.

Miss Sheila, you are almost done with that first 10%!! 3 more to go by the end of the year... which is my goal as well. We can do it girl!!

Miss Gillian, isn't it funny how that happens? Lose weight then lose inches, back to losing weight, etc. Taking my measurements was one of the very best things I ever did!! There's always a device out there to measure our success.

Ellen, it feels great to move from the 16 to a 14 doesn't it? That said... when it comes to pants... honestly, I don't care what the label says. It was nice to see the 14 in my regular brand/style of jeans... but the dress pants I bought today are 16's. No matter though!

So, I went shopping again today! I was looking for a pair of dress pants for the holidays and then whatever else I could find on the super clearance rack! 2 hours later(yes... 2... ugh!) I finally found those dress pants! Why oh why must there be 1,000 different styles all made by the same maker??? I have a pair here that I just love... size 18, obviously too big. So I thought I'd go to where all that brand was and just get a 16, possibly a 14. Oh no! It's not quite that easy... ugh! I tried on each and every size 16/14 black and brown pants made by this company. Oh they all fit... just not the way I wanted them to. In the process, I found 2 other pairs of casual pants and a sweater... all on sale, 50% off.

I decided to skip the dress pants and just head to the 75% plus another 30% off racks!! Yeehaa!! Summer clothes!! I have the girls cruise coming up in January and have zero summer clothes that fit!! Okay, so that's a lie. I have like 2 pairs of capris, 2 pairs of shorts and a drawer full of t-shirts. Today I found things like Liz capris, $58.00 marked down to $7.00 !! 2 capris and 3 dressy tanks later... one of which is a size 12... I was a happy girl!!

So now I feel better... I don't have to wear the same 2 pairs of jeans each and every day! I have color in my wardrobe again and the best part... very little money out of pocket!!

Hi Anissa,

Sounds like you had, a ball shopping. I love sales, you can

get some really nice clothes, at really low prices sometimes. Which I noticed you did.

Hope you had a great day.

Hey Anissa! Great sales shopping! I love a bargain too! I had to buy new bras as you know, but a lot of my tops just look better on me now I have lost weight! However I have bought a few new tops for work, which is nice! Like you say it is good to get some variety and some color back! The funny thing for me though, is that I have got back into a lot of my clothes that I have not been able to wear for two years and that is kinda like having a new wardrobe again!
