I wanted to come with a cute title, but I'm not feeling very creative right now. The blaring t.v. may have something to with it.

This is my first time on phen. I have been using it for 2 weeks and 6 days. My total weight loss is 12 pounds. Well, as of this a.m. it was 11 pounds. That's due to the wonderful belly bloating, mood changing, crave inducing PMS.

To stay on track, I bought a little notebook to keep track of what I eat, how many calories I consumed, and my weight loss. At the end of each week, I figure the total number of calories I ate that week and what the daily average is. That kind of gives me an idea as to whether I'm not eating enough or, God forbid, eating too much.

Here's a rundown on my calorie count for the first two weeks:

Day 1: 1195
Day 2: 1455
Day 3: 1562
Day 4: 905
Day 5: 1063
Day 6: 1292
Day 7: 815

Total for Week 1: 8287
Daily Average: 1184
Total Weight Loss: 6 pounds

Wk:2
Day 8: 1028
Day 9: 1130
Day 10: 1165
Day 11: 922
Day 12: 772
Day 13: 1200
Day 14: 1000

Total for Week 2: 7217
Daily Average: 1031
Weight Loss: 4.5 pounds
Total Weight Loss: 10.5 pounds

I also keep track of how much water I drink each day. I have't been doing as well on that lately.

Hi again Ariel,

Welcome abaord. T.V. blaring I can sooo relate. It does seem to interuppt your train of thought.

Everything looks great girl. Your doing awesome. 11 lbs WOW !!!! Great going.

The notebook is a great idea. I've gotten lazy lately but I can tell you for the first 6 months or so I kept myself on track with it and it really helped me alot at first.

It still would if I got off my lazy butt and and started to track them calories again.

Thanks! If I didn't count my calories, I'd feel as if I completely blew it if I ate something "bad", and then I'd eat more. This way, I can see if I'm getting in too many calories early in the day and need to cut back. So far, that hasn't really been an issue. I'm just not hungry like I used to be. I love it!!! I'll be posting my third week tomorrow probably. That's when I weigh in.

Keep up the good work. I think I officially start tomorrow. The doc is going to give me a specific diet to follow, along with meds. I'm not sure how many cals a day yet, but I hope it is around 1300 or so. Her big thing is WHERE the cals come from. I used to think you could lose weight by controlling calories and eating what you want, as long as you didn't exceed the cals. I still think you can lose weight that way, but, 4 me, I've got to eliminate the cravings for all the bad food or I will just gain whatever I lose back and then some I'll check in later when I have some good news to report

I like the way you are posting your "specifics" in your journal. It's nice to know the details of what others are doing! I started a journal today...Parkerhouse loses pounds...come & visit me there! I will try and post frequently to keep myself motivated!!! Hopefully, very soon, I will have to figure out have to update my weightloss bar....but, nothing to report yet

Someone told me to go to Edit Signature and and at the bottom where it states your starting weight and current weight, just delete your old current weight and enter your new weight. Then save your signature. I'll definitely check out your journal. How are you doing with the medicine so far? I felt kind of weird the second day and maybe a little on the third, but that's it. Other than that, it's been great!
