Thanks. Girl, try diet sunkist. It taste just like the regular. Also, my fave diet drink if wild cherry diet pepsi...OMG, it is de bomb! My husband and I both are addicted to it, and diet sunkist. Sprite zero is good too. You can have all the diet drinks you like on Atkins...no regular sodas thou. Regular soda is way to sweet for me.

Yes, this definitely works too...I use to eat 5 small low carb meals...helps keep the blood sugar levels stable...and you lose weight too!

I failed miserably on it. I gained 9 pounds. I never could get past that pound of bacon for breakfast, if that's what I wanted. I should have known better than to eat a pound of bacon, but....

The basis is sound. Proteins and fats satiate and eventually your appetite becomes stable. But limiting the vegetables was SUPER hard for me because I love them.

If it works for you, does it have a plan for eating that you can use the rest of your life? What happens if you occasionally splurge?

Of all the times Boo!!!!! My computer is on the blitz. Until I get it fixed I'll not be around or not unless I make it to the library. Perfect timming. I'll try and check on you when I can but if I disappear for a while it's because we can't afford to fix my computer right now. Take care and keep up the great work. I'm still gonna see if I could get a book from the library because it would easier if everyone read's the same book anyways like you said. ttyl c.c. Happy New Year's !!! Hugs to you my sister. I pray I will not be gone for long it really breaks my heart.

I love bacon too, but I had to control myself not to eat an entire pack...I would eat 3 slices with 3 scrambled eggs and cheese for breakfast and I was good until lunch.

I never liked vegetables until I started Atkins...and the veggies I always hated are the ones I love the most, like greens, cabbage, salads veggies, tomatoes, cumcumbers, green beans, peas, etc...I use to only eat corn, which is full of sugar and carbs

I truly believe I can eat this way for the rest of my life and be satisfied. There are soooo recipes that are substitution for the old foods I use to eat. Trust me, the Atkins way of eating is substainable for life. It's up to the individual to make it work. And of course you can go off plan and eat something that is not acceptable...everything should be done in moderation anyways, right?

One thing Atkins has taught me is to EAT and not starve myself....Phentermine helped control my appetite, but didn't teach me the right foods to eat. Most people eat low-fat, low cals and starve all day and lose weight, but gain it all back and then some. We need a balance and that is what I am learning....BALANCE!

Atkins is the only plan that has helped me to lose weight and maintain...but I failed to continue on...I went back to my bad habits and this is why I am 200+ again.

Morning, all is well...I flushed my phentermine down the toiled 3am this morning . My husband was happy! My WL doctor gave me 21 pills...I had only used 4 on them (I was taking half and sometime a corner of a pill). I wasted 70$ bucks! Augh!

Anyways, I'm moving on with Atkins .

Today's Menu:
B: 3 strips of bacon/1 hard boiled egg/1 coffee w/cream + splenda
L: Grilled chicken, 2 cups of salad veggies, diet soda
D: same as lunch (tomorrow I'm making a steak!)
Water: 1 gallon
Exercise: None - TOM is here and I'm somewhat in pain.

Weight: I didn't weigh - I will after TOM departs

Stay tuned for updates... I will post pics too!
