So I just started on Tuesday 4/21/09. I am going to A Better Way Health Center in Edina, MN. The staff seems nice, the doc a little odd, but hey if it works, it works.
I at at 219.8lbs when I was weighed in there. Ouch, that is almost up to my top weight ever. need to get started. I would someday like to be 160 or less, but right now I would be comfortable with anything under 200! (I'm 5'7").
I would like to reach this by then end of the summer, long term by the end of the year. I think that is fairly reasonable goal if i stick to it.
I have told most people that I am doing this, even at work, so hopefully I have a good support system. Randy is also trying to get back onto a healthy
diet again, he had lost 60 lbs with LA Wight Loss, but has gained back 30 since they closed here in MN. He isn't happy about it. So hopefully Tim will let us diet and not try to drag us out to eat every chance he gets. (my boyfriends roommate). He says he wants to get into shape too, but only eats fried food and meat or goes out to eat.
I need to work on exercising, I just hate it, and can't get myself to do it. Hopefully if weight is coming off, it will be easier to feel better and more motivated to exercise. Otherwise I'm going to somehow just have to do it.
So far biggest issues with Phen.... not being able to sleep well, though last night i broke down and took a tylenol PM, so i slept fine. But otherwise I never feel like i fall into a deep sleep, and look at the clock 100 times a night. I have a super dry mouth, which means I drink more
water, but working in the lab I can't have water at the front desk becuase it is not a "clean" area....but pt's can have water 1 foot away from me in the lobby....oh well. I have great appetite control all day until about 10pm then start getting really hungry. I don't want to take the pill later in the morning for it to last longer into the night, becuase I do want to at least get a little sleep.
Otherwise things are going great. First weigh in next Weds 4/29!
