Hello Everyone!
I have been visiting the boards regularly and decided it was time to start my own journal. My name is Corinna, I started taking phen 1 week ago today. I was on Meridia for a month before that and did well with it, however the cost made it an unrealistic option for me. So far I am pretty happy with the phen and my doc didnt give me to much grief over the prescription. I started with 1/2 a pill in the morning and was pretty good with that. I bumped it up to 3/4 of a pill today and it was too much. Back to 1/2 tomorrow. There is definitely a learning curve to all this!!
I thought it would be a dream come true to have no appetite. While it has its advantages, it also comes with disadvantages. I have to make myself eat most meals or else I get to not feeling well (duh...low blood sugar!). This morning it was past noon before I ate and then it was only because I got dizzy and felt sick. Most days Im pretty good about it, I eat breakfast before I leave for work. Have a snack around 1030 or so and then have lunch at 12 another snack at about 3 and dinner around 630. Still need to work on sticking to a meal schedule on the weekends. I am following Weight Watchers and eating my minimum points daily (most days).
This forum is great!! Alot of success and support and I think some of the journeys are amazing. I really want this to be the last time I have to lose weight so I am trying to approach it realistically (at least for me). I know there is NO way I will ever keep up with an exercise every day mentality, so I have been trying to get in at least 3-4 days a week. I know if I dont eat, it will all come back when I do. I know if I dont change my eating habits it will come back. All that to say that I am really working on making this a lifestyle change, but boy its hard!! Ok...enough rambling. I really want to get to involved on the boards and offer support as well as receive it. Here I go!!!

Good Morning!
Back to work today. I just started a new job last week so it has been a bit overwhelming. Thank goodness I am on phen, because the first thing I want to do when I feel stressed or overwhelmed is EAT!! At least that has been under control.
I am a dental assistant & I accepted a job in a brand new office. We havent even officially opened our doors for business. Right now it is all setting up and training on the new equipment. So much to learn! So many new things. It is fun and exciting as well as overwhelming. I will be glad once the office is open and the ball starts rolling.
Have my weight watchers meeting tonight. Hoping for a good loss!! I didnt do great yesterday. I didnt go over my points, but I could have made better choices. Like a good dinner instead of PB&J. lol. I hope everyone has a great day!! I will let you know how my meeting goes.

Good Morning!
Well I decided yesterday that I want to go back on the Meridia. It is more expensive, but the side effects are more tolerable. It seems like the longer I am on the phen, the more I notice the side effects. The racing heart, the exhaustion, feeling spaced out. I dont like it. My doc is on vacation this week so I cant get anymore until next week. I am going to take a break from the phen today and see how I feel. Hopefully I am able to appease my appetite. My weigh in at weight watchers was great! I lost another 2.6 lbs for a total of 15.2 lbs since May 6!! Awesome. I hope everyone has a great day!

Ok, its clearly evident that I have to take the phen at least until my doc gives me the Meridia. I ate alot more than I should have today! This makes me nervous. Whats going to happen when I lose weight and stop the appetite suppressants? Will the weight come back on? I was fairly confident that I was learning new habits, but as soon as I didnt have the supressant, I want to eat all the things that got me here to begin with. I dont want to go back to where I was! I will gladly tolerate the side effects of the phen to stay in control of my eating.....god I feel desperate! Having weight issues sucks!!! Well its still early in my journey. I can only hope in time the habits will override my desires to fall back into old habits.

Good Morning!
Getting ready to do my 1 mile walk (better than nothing). I absolutely hate exercising, but I know its a necessary part of maintaining my weight loss. I started back on my phen yesterday. I gained a lb on my 1 day off. Like I said in a previous post, that scares me!! I just have to have faith that my new healthy habits will over take the old bad ones.
I have been journaling now for almost a week and it really does help me vent, reflect etc. I am suprised that not more people have responded, but oh well. Im not journaling for a popularity contest! lol. Its raining here today, so I need to get going on my walk! Catch you all later.
