Hi,
I am on day 4 of 37.5 adipex and am a little frustrated. I KNOW I shouldn't be weighing myself everyday, but I haven't been able to stand it! The 2nd day I weighed myself and I had lost 3.7 pounds! I was over the moon! Then the next day I weighed myself again ( I know, I shouldn't have) but I had gained back 3.5 of the pounds I had lost! Weighed myself again this morning and it was exactly the same as the day before. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced immediate weight loss only to have it come right back? I am worried that this is a sign that my body "wised up" and isn't going to fall for it and let me lose the weight! I think I just need a pep talk. My appetite is GONE and have a lot of extra energy and am sleeping a lot less.. so all is good on that front

Thanks!

Kaili

Lol! You know there are a lot of different theories about how often you should weigh in...my own personal one is that as long as you don't let it discourage you if you don't see the results you were hoping for, weigh daily is fine. Some people only weigh once a week or less, and that is okay too. I think that it is personal preference.

I do weigh every morning...as soon as I get up, use the restroom, let the dog out, and step on the scale....my craziness comes out when I weigh myself usually three times in a row, just to make sure it says the same thing every time. There have been times that is has been different, and in that case, I take the lowest number, of course!!! lol!!!

Water weight is usually what you will lose and fairly quickly in the first few days/week of taking phen. Don't be concerned if it doesn't stay the same, and always remember that is better if you weigh every day to weigh at the same time, or very close to. Later in the day is going to naturally be higher than earlier in the day.

So, choose what works best for you, and don't worry about it!! We all have our quirks, and if stepping on the scale is all I have to worry about, I'm good!

Ha! I wish I could, but I just love checking those numbers every morning!! Even in times that they have gone up a little, it hasn't discouraged me...on the contrary, I think it gives me the desire to work harder even, to get that number to go back down!!!

Whatever works the best for you is the best!! Don't worry about it...there are lots of other stuff to focus on instead....like how to outlaw those darn DQ commercials!! lol!!!

Have a good day!

i'm with you....i weighed last week and saw 146 ( i was 148) and got off and back on (my ritual) and it was up two pounds and never saw 146 again..

we are not ....supposed to weigh every day but i feel i might miss that low number our bodies hold water for different reasons each day and the number is going to be different..

TOM (time of month) could add 4-5 pounds

Constipation could add 5 or more pounds

drinking too little water holds weight on

Too much salt holds water weight

But no matter how much i know that i still get frustrated..in my mind i feel like 146 is coming right around the corner.. i just have to wait.....

Join us on the exercise challage 9/17 -10/17 30 min. of upping our heart rates a day....

yep!! i have had this happen!! your body is retaining water most likely. i went through my ovulation cycle and was up 6lbs oh my god was i upset. you can see my posts on here. then it came back off. im guilty of doing the weighing myself every day too. your body will fluctuate with water weight. i was so upset i even went out and bought a dieretic, cuz i know when my menstural hits im probably gonna be up 6lbs again, and im in the process of getting a dress for my friends wedding, i would hate to get a smaller size then be up 6lbs and it doesnt fit right.

Hi ladies! I always try to avoid the scale around the week before that TOM. I'm one who gets ticked off at myself and a lil depressed, even though I know it's always water weight but man it sucks to see the numbers go up! Then I turn my angry into a good hard work out, that always makes you feel like you have accomplished something. I totally agree, it took years to put this weight on, its not gonna melt off in 1-2 months. The key is to stay focused and if u slip, tomorrow is a new day you wont gain all your weight back in one slip.

You are exactly right jenna...tomarrow is another day when we slip....we have to remember that!!! Staying on track will hopefully get us out of that vicious diet cycle we have been on for what, to me, feels like forever....but I will not allow a slip up every now and again to take what I am accomplishing away from me!!

We all are accomplishing so much here, and sometimes instead of looking at the smaller freeze frames, we have to look at the "big picture"!!
