Thanks for the encouragement Patty. I am actually feeling pretty good this afternoon. Haven't been too emotional since this morning which is a plus.

Carol, thanks for the idea about maybe increasing the carbs. I will try that. I have not been eating a whole lot of carbs, so that very possibly could be contributing to the emotions.

Thanks again.

Michelle

Well today is going much better. I'm not as emotional and have more energy. I think increasing carbs yesterday may have helped.

Going out for anniversary dinner with hubby tonight and I'm going to try and stay on diet as much as possible. I know I can do it, just takes a little willpower.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Happy Anniversary!!

I'm glad you are feeling better! Sometimes it takes a little while for us to find what works the best for us...but once you figure it out, you just have to grab it and run as best as we can to the finish line!!

Will power can be intimidating sometimes....look at the kids meals or ask about getting a lunch size portion instead of the full dinner portion of the meal. You will be great, I'm sure!! Enjoy your evening!!

Well today was a real good day emotionally, and energy wise. I feel like I am getting over this bump in the road. Went out for dinner with hubby last night for anniversary and watched my calories the entire day. I kept my calories about 1400. I thought I did real well considering I was also celebrating. Well, this morning I got up and decided to weigh myself and I gained 3lbs. My stomach sank. How on earth is that possible? I just don't understand. I am really sticking to my diet and not overdoing it. Anyone have this happen to them?

ALL THE TIME!!! LOL!!!

Really, it is not unusual....our bodies go through cycles of holding water, waste, all kinds of stuff that will make the scale do weird things....just don't let it discourage you!!

Best thing you can do is just to work a little harder so that tomarrow the scale will be maybe like 5 lbs down!! I wish there was a way to make our scales cooperate with us better....if anyone finds out how to do that, I hope they let me know what it is!

Thanks for the encouragement Patty. I did not let it get me down. I feel real good today. Maybe my body just needed to get balanced.

I did go to join the fitness place in town here. I went during there "staffed" hours, but there was no one working. I live in a very small town, so I don't have any choices for fitness clubs. I will try again.

Well today I joined Snap Fitness. Yeah!!! I only worked out about 1/2 hour, but I figured it was a start. I did the recumbent bike, elliptical machine (boy was that hard or maybe I am just uncoordinated, LOL), then I did a few weights. I couldn't believe how out of shape I am. I think I will keep it to 3 times a week, until I build some strength, as I am not long after having knee replacement.

I have also hit a plateu with the weight. I have not cheated and have been keeping calories in check, so that is kind of discouraging.

Hope you are having better luck with the weight loss than I am.
