I agree with jenna on this one, nicgirl...I think that as long as they aren't used all the time, they would be fine for filling in when you are having trouble or not sure what else might work. I think almost anything that you buy already prepared like that is going to have higher sodium, and that is too bad because if it weren't for that, they would be perfect! lol!!
I know it is so difficult to figure out what to eat when you are cooking for a family....they never want the "good" stuff, only the stuff we really shouldn't have! lol!! In those cases, I just try and use plain old moderation....eat what is available, but in moderation....it isn't the best way, but the best way for me. I might add in something to the meal that is mainly for me, like adding in a fresh vegetable where they want some sort of potato or something...a lot of times they end up eating what I fixed too so it all works out. Or maybe I will have a salad instead of what they are having....you will find things that work for you, I'm sure, it just takes a little time.
