I went to see my regular Dr and she is against phentermine. I told her I wanna try it before resorting to surgery, and asked if she may know someone who might, she said no. Refered me to some shakes only plan. Which to me is a failure diet right there...I cant survive the rest of my life drinking nasty shakes. Ive tried different diets and they dont work because its not a lifestyle change I could live with forever. Needless to say, I found a clinic in my area and they are a weight loss center, I cant get in under Oct 15th though. So instead of trying to find a sooner dr, im just waiting for the weight loss clinic. I'm pretty excited about it though! It's 90 a month and it includes the dr visit with a physician and dietitian and then phen. Hopefully that will keep me on track then

I think that waiting for that appt is a good choice...sounds like a fair $ amount, too.

The phen should help you tremendously with the being so hungry....and that is what makes it easier to watch that calorie intake. You are doing great...if you can stay within what you put in your box you are doing AWESOME!!

Way to go!!

Thanks Patty! I haven't lost anymore weight, but I a maintaining which stinks but its better then gaining. I went down to the workout area at my apt and the dang treadmill is busted! So I went for a swim instead. It was actually pretty relaxing. I plugged my Ipod into my single portable speaker and swam around the pool for about 45 mins

Swimming is a GREAT exercise, we have a pool, but the weather has made me close it up already, but I used it all summer long to help with my exercise program.

Maintaining is almost as important as losing....you have to learn to maintain once you reach your goal...and if you can maintain now, you most certainly can keep it up when you reach your goal!!

So I haven't really journaled in awhile. So I figure I better give an update. I started my phen today 30 mg. My dr appt was ok, it was a very small clinic there were a lot of skinnky women there. Made me think..geez this stuff must work...then I start they were just starting out too!!! WTH? I thought this stuff was made for people who have a BMI of 30 or higher, or if lower with 2 co-morbidity factors...either way I was a little shocked...So I got 1 week of Phen and I go back next week for a check up to make sure all is well. Then I start my monthly doses.
I have been super bad on my diet I have rarely been home. I have been running running running...a family member is in the hospital so I have been spending a lot more time there. I recently had a different dr appt. I got and IUD (birth control) on wed. That had to be the most uncomfortable procedure I have ever been threw! OMG it hurt so bad...luckily Im fell much better. I was a hurtin unit for a day. I also bought a new Ipod touch and I am totally in love with it!!
My weight is still standing at 228.8 im waiting for the phen to kickin. So im off to make a healthy breakfast and so how my hungry lasts.

Day 1 on phen review. After my phen kicked in day one I was a little spacey feeling and very clumsy! lol It only lasted about 1 1/2 or so. My appetite was ok...I still felt that hunger pain, but later threw the day and my meals I was doing totally fine. I actually ate small portion sizes and then felt full without even finishing my meal!! Thats a first in a long time! I know I didnt eat enough cals yesterday :( oh well I will try to eat more today.
I had an interesting night. I took a 30 mins nap around 7 and then went to lay back down about 11pm. I woke up at 130a and was WIDE awake! Goodness I laid and tossed and turned and flipped and flopped for hours! I was sooo tired but my mind was racing and I couldnt sleep. I finally fell asleep around 4 and got up again at 6!
My energy from the phen yesterday seems like there was nothing...actually I felt exhausted. I was soo tired I was dragging myself around shopping all day, which is why I took a nap. Oddly enough when I woke up the first time I felt like I could have ran a miles! haha! I am hoping my energy times reverse so I can enjoy my day and not my lonely night! I want to weigh myself but I dont. I think I will wait until next Thursday at my dr appt and hope to god I have lost!
