So I am down 5.5 and patiently waiting for Oct 15th to start my weight loss clinic. I lost 1.5 lbs in a week, which isn't to bad. I will admit I have my good days and bad days with counting calories. I don't wanna diet, I just wanna make healthier choices while trying to stay within my calorie zone. I just hope that the counting gets easier with time. I've cut out fast food and soda, candy and junk foods and limit my alcohol. I finally not craving any soda or junk, man that was a tough detox! LOL

I have been working out about 3 days a week doing 30 on the treadmill and 15-20 lifting weights. I ran for 8 mins straight on the treadmill...slowly working up. I walk briskly for the remaining time. I was sweating like a piggy in a sauna! holy cow!

You are doing awesome, girl!!

I know what you mean about working up a sweat though! lol!! I spent 30 minutes on my Gazelle today, the little reader thing says that I went 2.5 miles and burned 300 calories and kept it at approximately 5 miles per hour average. I was drenched when I got off there! But it did make me feel pretty good!!

Counting calories is hard, I know, but so worth it....it really is amazing when you start tallying up some of the things we love and have to decide if it is worth it or not...usually not! lol!! But I can promise you that it does get easier...just this past few weeks I am noticing that I am not fighting the cravings and such near as much as I was in the beginning. It is getting much easier to push my plate away BEFORE it is empty, too. And it is getting more satisfying to make the healthier choices. It isn't such a tough decision anymore.

So hang in there!! You are doing a great job....and will get better and better!!!

Today I'm feeling pretty good! I watched Dr. OZ the other day and I learned a niffty trick. I think it might help me a lot. I have a hard time with portion control. So he advises you buy a Tupperware like container and you stick your entire day of meals in that tub, minus milk and the tons of water we drink you can't eat any other foods out of that tub. It helps control portion sizes and keep track of your calories. I've got my tub in thew fridge right now with my entire day planned out I hope this will help me with the calorie counting, I really hate doing it as I go. So I took my morning to plan it all, and have my calorlies tracked woo hoo!!

That sounds like an awesome way to keep track! What a good idea! And it is much easier to stay on track when you see it right in front of you like that.

I LOVE Dr Oz...he is very straight forward and honest seeming. He discusses a lot of things that most people would not discuss with their own drs because of embaressment or whatever, and that is really good. I try to watch him as often as I can. He usually has some really good tips, too. The other day he was discussing how much exercise you would have to do to work off our favorite foods..one lady picked mac and cheese as her guilty pleasure and it would take over 2 hours to work it off on the treadmill!! Made me stop and think if any of that type of thing is worth that!! lol!!

You are doing great!! Keep up that wonderful job!!

That is EXACTLY the right attitude to have, jenna!! The changes that you are making are going to make a world of difference for you in the long run. I know everyone likes to look at immediate results, but we all have to remember the "big picture" sometimes, too, and how much we are improving our lives even if it is just a little bit at a time!!

I filled my box up again this morning, totaling 1246 calories. This is so much easier to count this way! Thank you Dr. OZ! I'm measuring out everything into correct portion sizes and my only problem is, I don't feel satisfied once im done eating...Im hungry every 2-3 hours, majorly hungry, like eat my arm hungry. When I get that hungry I wanna grab for anything in sight which is usually easy stuff, but its bad for you. I am hoping that once I start the weight loss clinic and phen I wont be starving!
