It takes more than a pill to keep your weight down

Two of the most popular weight loss pills available nowadays is Phentermine and Phentramin-D. These are proven to reduce weight by as much as 8-15 pounds in a month. But what is easily overlooked is that taking these pills must be done in combination with the right diet, proper exercise, and enough sleep. In short, the diet pill should be accompanied by clean living.

Now others might call this cheating because they only want weight loss, not a change of lifestyle. And, technically, they are right — people buy pills expecting miracles. But they forget that miracles are performed for those who turn their life around.

The reason why taking diet pills should be combined with change in lifestyle is that diet pills only address the symptoms of the root causes that gave rise to obesity. The pounds are just the result of these deeper causes. By just treating the symptoms, not the cause of obesity, you may lose weight in a month or three, but you’ll get those pounds back (and more) afterwards. The ‘root cause’ is still there — ready to deal more damage to one’s health and self-esteem.

Changing one’s eating, playing and sleeping habits aims to permanently keep your weight down, after having lost them through diet pills.

So what are the root causes of obesity? Granted, stoutness runs in families so some people are more predisposed to getting overweight than others. But nowadays, urban lifestyles and environments constantly bombard us from birth with factors that are pro-fat.
